* The arena is about 75% full and the crowd looks good.
Dark Match:
* Shelton Benjamin defeated Tyler Reks.
SmackDown, Airing Friday:
* CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler, Luke Gallows and Drew McIntyre vs. John Morrison, Matt Hardy, R-Truth and Finlay is the first match on this week’s show. Morrison hits the Starship Pain on Ziggler to get the win for his team. McIntyre vs. Morrison for the IC Title is announced for the Royal Rumble.
* We get various backstage segments with The Hart Dynasty, DX and Chris Jericho.
* Rey Mysterio vs. The Undertaker in a World Heavyweight Title match is up next. The match ends in Disqualification after Batista interferes.
* Cryme Tyme defeated two local wrestlers.
* Mickie James and Maria defeated Beth Phoenix and Layla.
* DX defeats The Hart Dynasty to retain the WWE Unified Tag Team Titles in the main event.

Taker vs Batista vs Mysterio at the Rumble…..Taker vs Cena at WM 26
Nice to see Morrison take the pinfall win in his match….but he’s in a tough spot at the Rumble…if they book him to lose TWO PPV matches in a row to McIntyre, it will be a miserable start to the year for him…BUT…if they book him to win back the IC Title, it will re-cement his mid-card status for the time being. As much as Morrison needs a win at The Royal Rumble, regaining the IC title would actually be a step down the ladder for him, he’s ready to enter the World Title Picture in 2010…the IC belt is beneath a man of his vastly proven potential.
Oh well, either way, there’s always the Money In The Bank, which if Morrison is involved in at WM26, he will be the heavy favourite to take the case.
They should pack the two Elimination Chamber matches at the Feb PPV with younger talent and give them a chance to shine with the big guns.

Yay… DX on Smackdown, the only halfway decent show they put out. Something tells me I’ve got better things to do than waste my time watching Smackdown this coming friday. DX isn’t even remotely entertaining to watch, and their merchandise looks like cheap garbage.

they should make the elimination chamber match a #1 contenders match for younger talent that can break into a top spot. It would be a way to promote younger talent, and we would be assured of a new match up for the title for at least one ppv.

Morrison needs to win the IC title back. then, lose it to Ziggler as originally planned. Finally, at WrestleMania win the MITB match. In the future, he cash the briefcase and wins the title.
Man, we need some young blood champ on SmackDown… Undertaker-Batista-CM Punk is awfull now
