Spoilers WWE SmackDown Tapings – April 30th

- Thanks to Chris for the following WWE SmackDown spoilers from tonight’s tapings in Hershey, PA:

Dark Match:

* Goldust b. Dos Caras, Jr.

WWE SmackDown, Airing Friday:

* The show opens with Chris Jericho coming out and delivering his “farewell to Smackdown” speech.

* Kofi Kingston b. Chris Jericho

* Chavo Guerrero comes out to put himself over for being drafted to Smackdown. Kane comes out to interrupt him. He hits a chokeslam, grabs a mic and says “welcome back”.

* Shad Gaspard comes out and says all the new workers from Raw need to recognize it’s his time on Smackdown.

* Cody Rhodes b. John Morrison

* Taped vignettes are airing on the big screen throughout the show of World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger boasting his college accomplishments with his 4.0 average.

* Edge is shown walking to the ring.

* Edge is out to the ring for a promo. He thanks the fans and says he doesn’t want to go to Raw. Christian comes out and they have a moment. Christian calls Edge a liar. Edge plays dumb at first but finally says Christian is right – he can’t wait to go to Raw. They brawl and Edge runs away.

* WWE Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix & Kelly Kelly b. Michelle McCool & Layla

* Dolph Ziggler comes out and cuts a promo about what he did to Hornswoggle on Raw on Monday.

* We go backstage to an interview with Matt Hardy. WWE Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre takes him out.

* JTG puts himself over in a promo.

* CM Punk come outs and is interrupted by MVP. The Straight Edge Society beats down MVP. Rey Mysterio comes out for the save. Teddy Long comes out and sets up Rey Mysterio & MVP vs. CM Punk vs. Luke Gallows. The match is up now.

* Rey Mysterio & MVP b. CM Punk & Luke Gallows. After the match, the guy in the hood attacks Mysterio during the post-match celebration.

* World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger comes out for a promo. Teddy Long comes out during it to announce the number one contender for the title. Big Show comes out. Show cuts a short promo then knocks Swagger out to end the show.

Yeah.Finnaly Big Show gets a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship.WTF is WWE thinking turning Edge heel against Christian and why the hell is Chavo still getting squashed.and when the hell is WWE gonna make it Drew Mcintyre vs Matt Hardy for the Intercontinental Championship.Hopefully that will be one of the matches for WWE Over The Limit.

With HBK, Taker, HHH and Batista absent….does WWE book a hot young up and comer (Morrison / Kingston / or even Christian) against Swagger???…….no, they wheel out the 500pd blob.

I was at the show tonight…best show I’ve been to in a while. I was also at the 3 Hour RAW in November and the Shaq hosted RAW (2 of the better RAW’s last year)

1) James. You say you want an up and comer to face Swagger and then mention Christian and bitch out Big Show. Christian isn’t any younger than Big Show (Okay 1 year) and Big Show is the infinitely bigger star. That’s just bias on your part. Bad move cause now what you say means squat.
2) I hate that Edge is bad guy again after only 3 months as a good guy. That won’t be fun watching, but at least Big Show has turned good guy again. That’s good to see. Good guy Big Show makes me laugh.

Nobody………Big Show has had NUMEROUS chances at main-eventing WWE, and has bombed on every occasion. He’s lazy, unmotivated and moves with the speed of a sloth.
The fact that i said OR EVEN Christian implied that although he isnt a YOUNG up and comer like Morrison and Kingston, he is still an up and comer in that he hasnt recieved his chance to succeed/fail in a headliner position in WWE yet. Show already has numerous times, and failed.
B…..lol, i forgot that Morrison is now on Raw! I was so used to seeing him on the blue brand. Unfortunatly, this transfer kills Morrison’s main event chances for the moment; he wont break through to the top on the John Cena/HHH show.

wpw you guys dont no wrestling Edge sucks as a face Edge is the perfect Heel and one of the best as well this is why hes becoming a heel again… all of edge’s big success’s is when he was a heel with Edge & Christian as tag teams when he was with the Ministry of Darkness & when he became the Rated R superstar Edge is good as a face but Awesome as a heel same goes Jericho…

i seem to remember christian having at least one world title shot, before he went to tna, when raw had both titles there was a short Cena (c) vs Jericho vs Christian programme.
Plus everyone rips on the Big Show, ut does anyone know a 500lb man who has the athletic ability everyone seems to expect?

Big Show is not World Champion Material. He held 2 Tag titles in the last year that’s it. One was with Jericho and the other was Miz. really. those are the best tag partner he could get. really. Big Show is big for no reason he can’t fight unless he knockout punch somebody. I am the former King of Kings. AttitudeEra you suck edge is a good wrestler.

Big Show is World Champion material. He won the WCW title 2 times, WWE title 2 times, and ECW tile once. He will probably get a title run this year.

i think orton as a tweener is a good move by wwe because he still gets a huge crowd reaction when he sets up for the rko.same as edge.as far as big show not being good enough have all you morons forgot that big show is the first and only person to have held WCW World Heavyweight Championship,the WWE Championship,and the ECW Championship.You guys are morons if you would rather see Swagger as the World Heavyweight Champion then Big Show.Show has potential and momentum at this point.As far as John Morrison his time will come eventually.Same for R-Truth.Oh yeah and Kofi deserves to win the Intercontinental Championship one more time.
