WWE Releasing Twenty-Six Different Magazine Covers, Goldust In Line For A Push?, More

Posted by Daniel Pena on Sunday, March 14th, 2010

– In honor of WrestleMania XXVI, the April 2010 issue of WWE Magazine features twenty-six different collectible covers. It’s worth noting that the WWE Divas, who haven’t been prominently feature on a cover of WWE Magazine since 2006, were shut out here too as all twenty-six covers were given to male wrestlers.

Among those featured with their very own cover are Batista, Big Show, Bret Hart, Chris Jericho, Christian, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, Edge, Evan Bourne, Jack Swagger, John Cena, John Morrison, Kane, Kofi Kingston, MVP, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, R-Truth, Santino Marella, Shawn Michaels, Sheamus, Ted DiBiase, The Miz, Triple H and Undertaker.

The cover bearing Shawn Michaels is apparently the only one being sent out to subscribers, so fans of the likes of Bret Hart and Drew McIntyre will have to hunt newsstands for theirs.

– It appears Goldust may be in line for a renewed push on SmackDown after a stellar outing with Chris Jericho on a recent episode of WWE Superstars as he defeated Money in the Bank participant Dolph Ziggler at last night’s SmackDown live event in Stockton, California. He also gained a victory over Mike Knox on last week’s episode of WWE Superstars.

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion praised his match with Goldust on his Twitter account, writing, “I really dug the match with Goldust. He’s in the best shape of his life and is as good as anybody in the WWE. Very underrated..”

– Speaking of Goldust, both he and Dolph Ziggler will be appearing at former WWE performer Armando Estrada’s Baby’s Steak and Lemonade restaurant on Wednesday, Mar. 24 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The restaurant is located at 8285 W. Union Hills Drive, Glendale, Arizona 85308.

Turn Goldust Heel 1 more time for an I.C championship run and even possibly a World Heavyweight Championship run cause I Believe Goldust will make a great champion and he’s better playin HEEL than FACE! And I know there some that remember WWF ATTITUTE ERA Goldust!!

I watched that match and he did look stellar. I hope they do more with him than get squashed by guys like Drew and Zeke

Forget all the machinations and out there stuff Goldust does. He is, after all, the son of The American Dream. He knows both showmanship and wrestling, so he should get a push.

Goldust did indeed have a great push in the beginning of his career in the WWE as Goldust, but won’t be surprised if most of you guys on here were even watching wrestling during that time in the 90′s.

He came out in matches against The Ultimate Warrior, Undertaker, and a fun hollywood ally brawl against Piper. Then he was a great heel IC champ battling Marc Mero and Savio Vega and later turned face and had a great feud with Hunter. Later came back when RVD was around and had some good matches with him. I think its time to bring back the Natural Dustin Rhodes. Not dustin rennols the church guy with signs saying he is coming. Give him a feud with cody unmasking golddust and let him get a real american dream push

Goldust sensually rubbing all over the Undertaker in ’96 nearly scarred me for life.

I think Dustin has always been a great competitor, but I can’t take him serious looking like an idiot with a stupid name like that.

DiBiase looks set for a singles push, so to avoid Cody getting lost in the shuffle they should tag him up with his bro Goldust.

Goldust used to disturbe me when he first got to WWF/E. But he is very talented, and giving him the IC tittle would bring some lost prestigue to it. Hope this is real, he is very underrated….
