Update on Triple H’s New Role with WWE & His Career

Posted by Marc Middleton on Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

- Triple H has been promoted to an Executive position within WWE and now working in the office. His official title is Senior Adviser and will be working directly under Vince McMahon on the creative side. A new office was being put together for Triple H in Stamford this past week.

There’s a lot of speculation right now about how this will effect his career in the ring. Triple H is 41 years old and has had many injuries, but there isn’t being anything said about this leading to his retirement.

    Loves to be the face of the biz on TV
    Both names have at least 2 H’s

    guess he couldn’t let Hogan have all the fun! :D

    best heel??? Attitude Era?? Um…he was with DX during most of attitude era ;)

    Besides, he still needs to get himself to be at least a 15 time champion so he can say he is just right under his idol, Ric Flair…Or of course…get that number 17.

    @Ryan
    may i remind you that while dx was fun during the attitude era,i was still a heel stable by the meang of not going by the rules and trying to break them.And what about the McMahon-Helmsley era? heel at his best.

    If only he’d retire. What would be the point of dragging him out for another airing, so that he can be handed the title yet again? He’s banged up, he’s past it, and for those of you who remember, ‘out with the old, in with the new’. He had a good run, but there’s lots of new guys that deserve the main event spot more than he does.

    I am sorry but I totally disagree with everybody who says he needs to retire.This whole new blood thing is way over rated, the heels are too bland and irritating.I just want to slit my wrists everytime the miz or Sheamus speak.WIth almost 30 years of wrestling knowledge it is in my belief that he will come back after the november elections, and they go back to pg-13 era instead of the “G” era.That way he can be the cerebral assassin again, and not have to be limited to what he can say and do.My question I want to ask everybody is….the way wrestling had been for the last 6 years or so before the “G” era is that 9-10pm was pg and things got cookin after 10 when the kids went to bed.So why aren’t they doing that anymore? i mean that would appease us and keep the votes for linda, or so it would seem, right?

    good luck for triple h, 5 or so years ago you may have been getting sick of him winning, but you cant disagree the triple h era was better then the super cena era…
    lets hope hunter gives himself a heel turn and a few more championships.. beat the wh0re flair

    I thought his new job was to hold the title for 6 months a year to keep them “broken in”.

    Yeah. No conflict of interests there, whatsoever. He was already calling the shots, as far as who gets pushed and who doesn’t, for the most part. Some guys, like Kofi Kingston, or CM Punk, have gotten pushes because they’re just awesome. Maybe the same goes for R Truth and John Morrison.

    But look at all the top stars besides Cena (who is a Stephania McMahon darling). Randy Orton, (formerly) Batista, Sheamus, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase Jr., Drew McIntyre, etc. All those guys are “HHH’s guys”. He literally hand picked Orton, Batista, and Sheamus especially to be top stars, because HE thought they had “it”.

    You ever wonder why guys like Christian, Matt Hardy, MVP, etc., don’t get pushed harder? Well there’s your answer. Now it’s just official. The worst thing that possibly could have happened to WWE, has happened: Shane has left the company completely, and now Steph and HHH are pretty much in full control. I guarantee you, if Shane were in charge of the WWE, the product would be a lot different. And likely a lot BETTER. It SHOULD have gone to Shane, and somehow, I have a feeling that that played a big part in him leaving.
