Update on the Advertised RAW vs. Nexus Match Last Night

- Although comments on the bout were absent from an initial SmackDown tapings report, WWE’s heavily-hyped dark match did, in fact, take place at WWE’s “Supershow” taping in Atlanta, Georgia Tuesday night.

As part of what the Philips Arena billed a “supershow,” superstars from RAW and NXT season one joined the SmackDown crew at the live taping. Their presence made possible the first RAW vs. Nexus match, which took place following the broadcast portion of the event.

With Darren Young selling the injuries from Monday’s RAW, the match was turned into a six-on-six affair between the Nexus and John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Edge, John Morrison and Chris Jericho. Jericho, Edge and Sheamus ended up “quitting” at the onset of the match, producing a six-on-three match. The babyfaces won.

Also on the “dark” portion of the card–Rey Mysterio beat Jack Swagger, Kane and Big Show to retain his World Heavyweight Championship.

I really hope this Nexus storyline goes somewhere. Seems like it’s at a standstill already…
