Update on Mickie James Leaving the RAW Tour, Segment Cut from ECW, Hardy

- Jeff Hardy is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Power Slam.

- As reported earlier today, Mickie James peculiarly missed Sunday night’s RAW brand house show in Madison, Wisconsin after competing the two previous nights in St. Paul, Minnesota and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was also not used during Monday’s RAW taping in Chicago. Partnering with Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly took her place in a tag match on Sunday.

This should be taken with a grain of salt, but a person from the Richmond area claiming to have known James for over ten years e-mailed us to say that she busted one of her breast implants in a tag match with Rosa Mendes (and Beth Phoenix) over the weekend. The timetable for her return remains indefinite. Furthermore, the storyline excuse for her absence will be explained as a shoulder injury she suffered during her title defense against Phoenix on last week’s show.

- WWE did an angle during last night’s ECW taping where Abraham Washington was scripted to walk off his own segment. Apparently due to time constraints, the segment was cut out of the broadcast. The WWE website has posted the segment online.

During the scripted segment, Washington began experiencing technical difficulties with his earpiece, not to mention his mic was cutting out every few seconds. A stagehand then came out to “fix” his mic, only to garner a slap in the face. A frustrated Washington walked off the set after more technical difficulties, leaving a chuckling Tony Atlas behind.

I gotta admit, the Abraham Washington Show is probably one of the worst things ECW has brought to the table in recent years. I’m just saying

Abraham Washington is so cocky, for no reason.

I know his original gimmick in FCW was to be an Obama imitator. I must say, after seeing him on TV, he didn’t resemble Obama other than for the obvious reasons. But after watching the grainy video on WWE.com, I can see the resemblance a bit more. Perhaps WWE should have gone with that angle instead of this cheesy talk show thing. We all know how much Vince loves Obama, so that might have been interesting. ;-)

The abe washington gimmick is a good gimmick. how can u deny that. washington draws more heat than most heels and he has never stepped inside a ring. i like the cockyness and arrogance. plus it gets over angles without wrestling due 2 ecw being one our
