SmackDown Star Gets a New Theme, WWE’s Audience by Age, Superstars Matches

- The Rock’s “Fast Five” was listed as the single most-pirated movie of 2011 with an estimated 9.3 million downloads worldwide.

- Matches for today’s WWE Superstars are Tyson Kidd vs. Jinder Mahal, Kofi Kingston vs. Michael McGillicutty and Brie Bella vs. WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix.

- Several readers sent word that Wade Barrett had a new theme song when he came out for the dark main event against Randy Orton after Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings. A new theme for Barrett has been in the works for a few weeks now.

- The current WWE audience by age looks like this – 22% is between the ages of 2-17, 23% is between the ages of 18-34, 26% is between the ages of 35-49 and 30% is age 50 or older.

    So the majority are older viewers and yet they still string us along with this PG crap. Change it up vince.

    77% of the audience is 18 or older. Why the hell not push back towards a slightly more grittier more TV13 product again?

    Ive watched WWE since I was about 7 back when the attitude era came in and its done me no harm.

    77% of your audience are watching wwe’s product. Imagine if they lost that fanbase thats when vince will realize that the whole corny corporate bullshit that we see now isn’t working.

    Hell back in the 80′s the wwf was pg but they had people with gimmicks that made the show FUN! Can anyone say that they are entertained by some of this bullshit? Look at zack rhyder he was funny as hell on his youtube show then he started to get over on his own then BAM! They fucked him up with this bullshit! WWE needs to go back to being FUN AGAIN! FUCK changing the rating! PG or not a bullshit show is a bullshit show!

    What I find funnier is the fact that only 56% of the said demo is the same adult base that TNA is getting 78% of at the moment. TNA really needs to get more kids to watch there program, as of now only 11% of people under the age of 18 watch TNA Impact.

    Preferred his 3rd version of the Corre theme that that started “I’ll be your end of days…”

    Thought it caught the attention more and provoked a better reaction.

    Saying that, I see the reason for the theme change. I don’t think that it suits his character personally, as good as the theme is. Needs a British band doing his theme!

    @Kamala’s Foot, didn’t you watch Raw last week? Chris Benoit has been drafted to heaven. There was a backstage segment between Eddie & Chris. I think they’re setting up a feud between the two.

    I hope Barrett’s theme isn’t another alternative/emo rock song. This is the new thing and it’s the worst theme decision for all. I miss the old days, where they were colored by gimmick. I still have WWF: The Music Volume 3 and 4. At one of my birthdays, my friends and I shut the lights off and tackled each other while listening to the Brood’s theme. Then, as part of Brood procedure, we quickly turned the lights on and disappeared.
