Roddy Piper Update

Posted by Marc Middleton on Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

- In regards to reports going around that WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, one of Piper’s representatives stated that Piper has taken time off for health-related issues after wrapping his most recent film, but that he has not been diagnosed with a terminal illness or terminal cancer.

Piper has been advised by doctors to rest and take a break from his work schedule. Piper’s representatives may be releasing an official statement soon. Please do keep Roddy in your thoughts and prayers as he’s not all that well these days.

I don’t care about Piper’s future of wrestling, just care of his health.

I hope its a rumor also. I love Piper. But everyone needs to know that this would not be the first time that when a rumor spread about someone’s health was denied by that persons peopel and then ended up actually being true. I hope to God that is not what happens in Rody Roddy Piper’s case.

Just because his reps say it’s not true doesn’t mean it’s not true. Until Piper himself says it isn’t true then nobody will know for sure.

I agree with Thumper and Hee Haw said. This site went over the line by posting it. I’m now even going to question this on where it get it sources. I knew something wasn’t right and I’m glad it is not true. But the fact reminds that this site went over the line, and that making me tick off right now.

I think this site and the writer should issue a apology not only to Piper and his family, but also the wrestling fans that this site offend.

    I wish Piper well still.

sorry guys, but I’ve had enough of this sh!t!

WHY is this website (which claims to be credible!) simply doing the usual copy/paste job as most other wrestling websites???

I’m sorry guys but Wrestling-Edge (a site I thought always had a little class) is turning into little more than a friggin mirror of the other IWC websites which simply copy/paste and have no ACTUAL news of their own!!

this is the reason that people like Tammy Sytch post things on their facebook blogs – to get sites like this writing useless shite that’s not true, because the contributors/authors have no sources in the industry!

it’s one thing to post that Roddy Piper isn’t well, but it takes backbone and character to:

    A) admit it’s wrong and publish a retracting statement and apologise for the incorrect arcticle, and

    B) to simply copy/paste from one site and post it here as news?? WTF!?!?! Doesn’t the person submitting the article have anything personal to contribute rather than simply doing a shitty paste job?

this site has gone so far downhill it’s untrue

Had me worried the for a second. Roddy Piper should take time off til hes back close to 100% health because lets face it, at that age your never 100%
