- A source close to Ric Flair has confirmed today that the WWE Hall of Famer will indeed be going to work Hulk Hogan’s Hulkamania tour of Australia and he will be wrestling Hulk Hogan. These will be Flair’s first official matches since wrestling Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24.

Other names set for the tour include Diamond Dallas Page, Shannon Moore, Kennedy, The Godfather, Val Venis, Umaga, Lacey Von Erich and probably The Nasty Boys and Brutus Beefcake.

This will be an absolute corker if they do it right. I don’t care how old or fragile both these guys are, the atmosphere alone should be great.

Just think about it, this isn’t a WWE event so the chances of Legacy running in halfway through or Teddy Long restarting the match is highly unlikely.

There’s no school like the old school – and these guys are the headmasters!

Rikishi, Gangrel, Orlando Jordan, and The Black Pearl will be there as well with there affiliation as trainers with the group co sponsoring it. So you look at that lineup especially with Kennedy and Umaga fresh from WWE tv basically and you have more then enough talent to put on a hell of a tour.

The supporting lineup outside of Hogan vs Flair however needs to be established guys that can really still go like a Val Venis or maybe even a D-Low Brown. They need to be careful to not have every match featuring a guy waaaay past his prime which has been an issue on some shows similar to this.

    Kevin,

Hogan wanted more money then he was worth thats why he isnt in the WWE. Ric Flair quit on his own terms he left on good terms he wasnt kicked out. They messed him over he was supposed to come to my hometown in virginia and do a show to help one of our local schools out and wwe wouldnt let him do the job. He came in here and was all for it but they made him pull out. Thats wrong because he could have really helped the school and he wasnt doing any promotion that was gonna compete with wwe. WWE are dicks like that. I can so going to a company like tna or something but not some kinda indy fed or something and to help out a school? Wrong. Thats why flair wanted out he wanted to do his own thing he wanted to do side projects in which the wwe wouldnt let him do. So can ya blame him? Hogan is another story. I dont care much for him since his yellow and red heyday. Back then he was a decent wrestler. Well actually back when he was in the nwo first starting him turning dirty was a great swerve. I liked him then. But as of late. I dunno i like his char he just really has a crappy business handling ability. Hes a good talent but he tries to get more then hes worth. In his prime yea i could see his point but where he is old now. His body is a whole lot weaker and he cant go as much as he could before. So wwe didnt want to give hogan the money he wanted. Flair just left cause he wanted to. :) Just thought id throw that out there.

The fact that these guys can pull off any kind of match nowadays is questionable
