Date: Mar 09, 2010 at 12:42 PMNo matter what anyone says, this is bad, bad, bad for TNA. Remember, their 1/4 show did a 1.5, which was huge. They have been doing about a 1 the last few weeks. Obviously, with all the hype for this episode and, as they’d tell you, a “new era” in pro wrestling…. a 1 just ain’t gonna cut it. I mean, this was like a PPV or “Super Show” if you will, so they aren’t going to necessarily out do it next week. This was a way for TNA to introduce themselves to the vast majority of wrestling fans and I guess only their regulars (with a small handfull of others) decided to tune in. Can’t wait for the total breakdown, I bet it’s going to be even worse.

Date: Mar 09, 2010 at 1:11 PMhonestly, when people switched over, what did they see? a smaller ring, the metal gate barrier, some old faces, ric flair’s man-breasts……it really IS the old monday night wars – WWF/E vs. WCW. they’re not giving the people what they want, just TNA trying to win a d.i.c.k.-bigger contest!

Date: Mar 09, 2010 at 2:48 PMTNA needs to change up their arenas!..It looks stupid not much fans the things they say,”this is awesome” “tna tna” gotta be throwen away. in wwe you never hear..” this is awesome or “wwe”. Bring back how the old WCW use to look like then and maybe TNA will have a chance, But having Hogan get his ass kicked aint going to get the ratings up to

Date: Mar 09, 2010 at 3:07 PMI agree with Jeff about TNAs set-If you switched back and forth between shows last night the tiny Orlando ‘arena’ looked like a high school gym compared to the giant building WWE sold out in Portland. If TNA is selling itself as something new and different why did the show start with two old dudes from the 90s and finish with two old dudes from the 90s? Impact needs to showcase what seperates them from Vince, not showcase Vinces discarded talent.

Date: Mar 09, 2010 at 7:18 PMIt’s not going to be an overnight success. It’s going to take a few years for TNA to get anywhere close to Raw’s ratings. Impact was clearly the better show but how are people supposed to know that before they decide what they’re going to tune into?
Look at the facts, this was TNA’s second Monday night show…their first in 2 months. They’re nowhere near as established as WWE who have been around for decades. We are currently in the build to one of the most anticipated Wrestlemania’s of all time, so of course people are going to tune into Raw. The ratings will improve, but it’s going to take time, not ONE night.

Date: Mar 09, 2010 at 8:12 PM@Firesoul………EXACTLY. If it does happen, it will take AT LEAST 18 months of consistantly entertaining shows like March 8th’s for TNA to come close to pulling in ratings closer to Raw.
It will be a SLOW BUILD process…..just like WWF coming back to beat WCW in the monday ratings after getting their ass kicked by Nitro from May 1996 to April 1998….a slow build process.
Anyone who honestly thought TNA would beat or come close to RAW on monday was kidding themselves…this will take TIME and perseverance. Whether or not it will happen, remains to be seen. But IF it does….it wont happen for at least 18 months.
For now, I just love having the CHOICE of either shows on Monday nights.

Date: Mar 09, 2010 at 10:30 PMI’m sorry guys but just because you keep trying to convince yourselves ‘Impact was the better’ show doesn’t mean its true. It wasn’t, at best it was on a par with Raw. The pacing of the show was terrible and RVD’s heat was destroyed within a matter of 30 seconds.

Date: Mar 09, 2010 at 11:57 PMNo matter what the TNA dreamer may think TNA will never do what WCW did. It took WCW years to get to the point where they could compete with WWE. An WCW build up a lot of there own stars TNA rush things to fast and now the truth is going to come out about TNA they where not ready to go up against WWE. Look this doesn’t really suprise me because TNA can’t even get a high pay rate on there on PPV plus they did not do so well in ratings on Thrusday night how the heck TNA marks think they were going to do any better on Monday nights.
1.0 is not a low rating but being that RVD debut didn’t even help TNA out in ratings tells you all need to know about TNA. Look out for next weeks ratings with Stone Cold as Guest Host an Wrestlemania getting even closer WWE going to pick up steam. TNA to me pick the wrong time to move to Monday nights.
In closing TNA to me in nothing more then a retiment home or a place where junkies can still get high and wrestle. Look the only real reason RVD is even there is in truth WWE really had no interest. Monday night War yeah right.

Date: Mar 10, 2010 at 1:11 AMKeep apologoising Steve because you don’t know what you’re talking about. Foam cups was entertaining, we saw a match with Randy Orton that we’ll see in 2 weeks, John Cena gauntlet HIP HIP HOORAY! RVD’s heat? Stick to Spongebob little boy.

“RVD’s heat was destroyed within a matter of 30 seconds.”
Shows that you clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. Sting attacks RVD to MAJOR heat. RVD chants. Sting attacks officials. RVD chants. Here comes Hogan! RVD chants. Sting attacks Hogan. RVD chants.
The fans want to see RVD kick the crap outta Sting and that was the whole point in the segment. The only thing I would have wanted different was to see Sting getting DQ’d, not pinned in 10 seconds after Rolling Thunder.
