Randy Savage On RAW Rumor, Fresh Main-Events For 2010 In WWE?

Posted by W-E on Sunday, January 3rd, 2010

– Jim Ross has updated his blog, with highlights below:

* “For some reason we have received many emails regarding a rumor that Randy Savage will be appearing on Raw Monday night in Dayton. I have no idea the origins of this particular rumor but I do know that this weekend the rumor mill seems to be working over time with a ton or rampant speculation. I have no idea who will or will not be appearing on Monday Night Raw but I am looking forward to it being a great show.”

* “Will 2010 be the year that fans see new, fresh main events? ‘New’ is good and is always worth a try because no matter how many people think that they are experts within the wrestling business the fans will always make the final decisions as to what they like and sometimes things work that some ‘experts’ never envisioned.”

@ nick. You couldn’t be more right. I stopped watching WWE quite some time ago due to the fact that some form of Cena, HHH, and Orton were always in the ME. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy watching all three. But thought they’d have been better served letting Cody, Ted, Kofi, Bourne, and Matt Hardy the chance to be Main Eventers on Raw. I do keep up with WWE every day right here though. Here’s to hoping 2010 brings a new page to WWE talent.

I’m torn, because on the one hand I think Raw would really benefit from some new talent whenever they do the draft this year, but at the same time I like the lineup on Smackdown so much I wouldn’t want to see it changed too much. Raw needs at least one more solid main-eventer so they can put some fresh blood in the title scene, instead of just guys who look like they’re missing a few quarts of it. Whether that means letting someone else through the glass ceiling or moving someone from Smackdown, it really is getting old over there.
