I’m very unhappy about this and I’ll tell you why. I was at the Smackdown tapings in Hampton VA and saw a match between the two. Morrison played defense the whole match, getting in very few moves and the match was an overall disappointment. I have no problem with them pushing new people, even if it is just because Triple H likes them and no either discernible reason, but I take exception to them making one of their most unique performers look weak just so one of the Nose’s buddies can look like a big deal. Anyone can look strong if you make everyone they compete against look pathetic, how about making McIntyre do something noteworthy to deserve such a push before he negatively impacts an established performer who has earned his spot? Morrison has a good look, an awesome moveset and can put on excellent matches. McIntyre’s picture is in the dictionary next to the definition of Bland (adj.) I guess it really does pay to get Triple H’s bags.

I gotta agree with Valo. I won’t smack-talk Triple H, because I am a fan of the guy but I hate how he’s behind Sheamus and McIntyre because they both really suck. Sheamus is this year’s Vladimir Kozlov and next year, he’ll be nothing like Kozlov is now. And McIntyre looks like someone stuck Brian Kendrick’s head on Randy Orton’s body, but he has NO skills whatsoever. His mic work is bland too. I just don’t like the guy and he does not deserve to take the IC title off Morrison. Morrison isn’t ready for the World title so he should be to the IC title what RVD was to the ECW TV title. I’m not saying hold it for 2 years, but for a while and have awesome title defenses, as he’s been doing thus far. Don’t derail his push for some hack like McIntyre. I really hate politics and @$$-kissing.

Mcintyre isn’t ready to hold the IC title yet. Watch one of his matches and it’s pretty obvious. It’s a shame that they’ve dropped Ziggler(whose skills aren’t the greatest, but has plenty of aggression) in favor of triple h’s new pet. It says a lot about the backstage culture of wwe that someone who hasn’t earned a big push gets it, simply because of favoritism. Of course, one could make the same argument about triple h as well.

I like this because Drew McIntyre is young talent and John Morrison should be pushed to win the world championship rather than just be intercontinental champion. His potential is unlimitless and I like the direction WWE is going in pushing younger talent like Sheamus facing John Cena for the WWE championship at Tables Ladders and Chairs.

Well if WWE is pushing Sheamus in a match for the WWE title…I think you should let him win this match. I mean what would be the point of having him lose this match…it would just kill his push and at worst have Cena win it back at the Royal Rumble. Drew McIntyre should be put with William Regal so at least he has a mouth piece…this guy sucks and well Triple H is up to his same antics

What would I rather have? How about a slow burn push, allowing the talent to show they have talent and build them up, as opposed to “Throw the big white guy in the main event.” When someone comes out and the crowd is silent, they don’t give a damn about them. You have to make them care, otherwise they won’t buy a ticket. When PPV buyrates are down, how does it make sense to put a new guy no one knows or has had time to care about at the top of the card, or unseat a guy that has worked hard for years and has the crowd behind them? You’ll get heat alright, but it won’t be “You dirty dog, he’ll teach you next week!” heat, it’ll be “Who booked this crap?” heat.

Wasn’t Mcintyre paired with Regal and Dave Taylor in his first tour of duty on Smackdown?

got now problem with pushing new stars in the WWE, so long as they all get a fair chance. HHH’s influence backstage is too influential and should be reigned back.
