Nine-Man Tag Match on SmackDown, Corgan at Mania, More

Posted by Marc Middleton on Friday, March 19th, 2010

- Jim Ross noted on Twitter that Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan will be at WrestleMania 26 in Phoenix watching the show. Corgan is a big wrestling fan and has worked with TNA in the past.

- A nine-man tag team match featuring the Money in the Bank participants will take place on next week’s SmackDown. No word yet on how the teams will be split up but there’s still a possibility a tenth man will be added to the WrestleMania match on RAW and then be added to the SmackDown match making it a ten-man. Next week’s SmackDown will also feature Beth Phoenix vs. Vickie Guerrero and a look at WrestleMania Axxess from Phoenix.

I like the idea of having a ten man MITB. And, the MITB PPV is just STUPID!

At this point, why not? What is actually the difference? You can’t really say 10 people would be too much, when they already have 9. That’s kind of silly. It’s still going to be a mess, but hopefully they pull it off. It really does need to be Kofi Kingston, at this point, because they need another high flier in the match.

As for the MITB PPV…..WWE must be getting senile or something. MITB has become a tradition at WM, and it’s special BECAUSE it happens at WM. If they make a separate PPV out of it, it loses what made it special, and these gimmick match themed PPVs are really starting to get old.

Yet those pay-per-views still make the WWE money. And Money in the bank will be no different.

if you think about it wwe really doesn’t keep tradition what happen to the battle royal that would open mania’like in the 80s and 90s. MITB is innovative right now, let hope they keep things the same
