- Devin sent the following: The city of New Orleans will be hosting a parade to honor the New Orleans Saints football team on Tuesday, Feb. 9, whether the team wins or loses the Super Bowl. Since this parade conflicts with WWE’s SmackDown/ECW live event, WWE will be postponing their event in New Orleans and moving it to Baton Rouge at the Baton Rouge River Center at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010. The New Orleans event has been rescheduled for Friday evening, May 28, 2010. Tickets from the Feb. 9 date will be honored.

- While most visitors and guests were barred from WWE’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Sunday night, former WWE and TNA star Johnny Swinger was backstage seeing friends.

- Recently released WWE Superstar Eric Escobar is now working for the WWC promotion in Puerto Rico.

- The decision to add MVP vs. The Miz for the United States Title to Sunday’s Royal Rumble was made late in the day before the pay-per-view began. The plan was to have the match at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view if they decided not to have it at the Rumble.

So they are going to continue this boring feud between miz and most valuable prisoner?

Why don’t they just have miz win and get it over with. Oh, I forgot he already has.

There must be someone better miz can fued with over the us title.

Dude, Drew Brees has quietly been the best QB in the league for the last several years. And he for damn sure deserves a ring, to cement that legacy. Everyone talks about Manning and Brady, even Favre (who hardly deserves it), but seriously, Brees all around I think is just a better QB than them. Especially considering he’s only 6’0″, and has had to overcome a lot of adversity, such as being labeled a “bust” early on because the SD offense sucked. But the one thing he did have, was Doug Flutie, who is the classiest QB to probably ever play in the NFL (though sadly underused because of his size), and you can see a lot of Flutie in the way Brees plays to this day.

I hope to God the Saints win. Brees deserves it, and New Orleans for damn sure deserves it. F**k overrated Peyton Manning AND his NFL darling Baltimore *ahem*….Indianapolis Colts.

Basketball was originally played with a soccer ball. The first balls made specifically for basketball were brown, and it was only in the late 1950s that Tony Hinkle, searching for a ball that would be more visible to players and spectators alike, introduced the orange ball that is now in common use.
