News on Zack Ryder and the ECW Title, More on Hogan’s Hulkamania Tour

- Hulk Hogan has begun the promotional push for his November Hulkamania tour of Australia. Hogan has been doing ads for the National Rugby League in Australia and is doing a contest where anyone who buys tickets for this weekend’s rugby games will be entered in a drawing to win a spot in a corporate box seat with Hogan at the Grand Final qualifier the following week. Hogan appeared on Australia’s The Footy Show earlier today and said that Ric Flair, Brutus Beefcake, The Nasty Boys, Jimmy Hart and others would all be there, saying the purpose of the tour is to “thank the fans.”

- Zack Ryder posted a photo of himself on Twitter with the ECW Title belt photoshopped around his waist. The caption says “I may look like this after next week”. While nothing has been announced, this seems to indicate that Ryder would will get a shot at ECW Champion Christian next week. Ryder became the #1 contender after winning a battle royal this week.

    It’s kinda funny that Yoshi beat him with a clean pinfall
    and the guy gets a title shot..
    I was hoping that Shelton would get a title run but oh well.

    Honestly I loved ECW this week. Now look….Ryder isn’t ready to be Champion yet and I highly doubt he’ll get the win but ECW has had some really good shows lately with the vets helping to elevate the new talent. Hell Sheamus and Goldust actually had a really nice feud. What I also enjoyed was that Ryder winning was a legit shock especially losing earlier in the night…..and his performance towards the end of the battle royal was impressive. I like being surprised once and awhile. Even if Christian just beats him cleanly between now and Hell In A Cell and it’s over it was still worth doing and helps give Ryder some exposure.

    i agree i think its stupid to have ryder lose then 20 minutes later win a match to be the #1 contender….. makes ecw look weak
