Negative Backstage Report On John Cena, Find The NXT Rookie Divas On Twitter

Posted by Daniel Pena on Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

– Vince McMahon noted in a recent interview with the Boston Herald that he held a talent meeting a few years ago urging his performers to “reach for the brass ring” regardless of whom they have to step over. He particularly recalled John Cena approaching him at the end of the meeting to say, ‘I’m your man.’

The interview caught the attention of an anonymous wrestler who attended the meeting. He said there were actually five wrestlers who came over to McMahon following the meeting to say they were the right man for the job.

“The only difference is that Cena did his ‘stepping over guys’ in the locker room more than the ring,” said the wrestler.

The anonymous wrestler feels McMahon was looking for a “backstabbing asshole/stooge” to serve as his top WWE Superstar.

“It has zero to do with in-ring talent,” the wrestler said. “Cena stepped on guys like the Spirit Squad and others who were only there for less than six months.” (source: Pro Wrestling Torch)

Actually Carlito stated in an interview like a year ago saying that, love or hate him, Cena is the hardest working man in the biz. Personally, i hate watching him in the ring, but he does seem to be a WWE machine. I wouldn’t read much into an report like this. annonymous hearsay like this is garbage.

Honestly can’t say I’d blame Cena for ignoring everyone but himself the way Vince is if you get an opportunity just do what ever you need to for however long you can get away with it save up money and get out of the game.

    @RPM

That is one s**ty a$$ attitude to have. Get ahead at the expense of everyone else? Great deal. Sounds a whole lot like Hulk Hogan, or Goldberg, HBK or Ric Flair for that matter. I guess to be “great”, you’ve got to be a complete, classless piece of trash, eh?

Oh wait. No you don’t. Guys like Randy Savage, Dusty Rhodes, Mick Foley, Undertaker and Bret Hart prove that.

I’ve heard anything negative about Cena before now including current and former guys that worked with him. This sounds like the dirt-sheets making up stuff again.

@ Devil_Rising…you’re saying Undertaker or Bret Hart never stepped over anyone. The Undertaker was the reason why Shawn didn’t come back in 2001. Taker has buried so many guys in his career. To be big star you have to look out for yourself. Simple as that.

@AJ. Taker has put over more guys than he has ever buried. Just look at Lesnar as a perfect example.
When has Cena ever put anyone over?
Look at his winning streak for godsake, and you will see that he has done nothing to help anyone but himself.
Also look at Takers career as far as titles go. For the first 10 or more years of his career, he held the main title only 4 times, while people like Austin, Rock and HHH came in after him and grabbed title after title after title.
Yes there have been instances where he has buried someone (Kronik comes to mind here), but most of those decisions probably belong to VKM.

I actually thought it sounded more like Mr. Anderson. But then again, he usually is pretty vocal about his feelings and doesn’t stay anonymous.

I have zero problem with Cena stepping on others to get to where he is today. In an industry full of me first people you do what you have to do. The problem I have is with the supposed anonymous wrestler. If you are going to make such strong comments then put your name on it. Be a man rather than hide behind the pen of an internet wrestling site. The people who make these anonymous claims are the biggest problems, as they are always people with an axe to grind and an agenda to bury anybody they can in an organization they used to work for.

you mean in a business where guys will shoot drugs into their bodies that they know will probably kill them before their 50 that they would step on each other to get to the top? that being said, while i’ve heard a bunch of reports over the years about cena’s work ethic being better than anyone else, i have also heard a bunch of reports that he has brown nosed higher ups also.

as for who said this, their is no reason for dykstra to remain anonymous since he has no shot at getting back into wwe and putting his name on this will only get him more attention, which he could desperately use right now. as for anderson, if he would public say things about randy orton, i don’t see him saying this and trying to hide from it. more than likely it is someone in wwe, not someone hoping to come back to it anytime soon.

You people saying you would do the same thing, or that you have zero problem with the idea of stepping on other people (or brown nosing) to get ahead……you are very, very sad individuals.

Sure, you say that here, on a web forum. But if someone stepped on YOU to get to a higher position in your OWN life, you’d be p*ssed, and, in your own words, would be “whining like a little b**ch” about it, to anyone who would listen.

Fact of the matter is, NO YOU DON’T have to bury people to get ahead in life. You can, but that makes you a douchebag, end of story. You can be a class act, like an Undertaker, or a Bret Hart, or a Randy Savage, or a Mick Foley, and STILL make something of yourself. Just look at those guys’ careers.

When has Undertaker EVER honestly “buried” someone, especially to further his own career? The list of guys, as someone else mentioned, that he has put over in his WWF career, is pretty much second to none, for someone of HIS standing in the business. Yokozuna, Diesel, Mankind, Stone Cold, Kane, The Rock, HHH, Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, etc. etc. etc. etc. He has put SO many guys over, it’s ridiculous for anyone to say he “buries” people. He put over the GREAT KHALI for s**t’s sake! To bring up guys who were just NOT GOOD wrestlers, like Luther Reigns, or Kronik, or Heidenreich, etc. etc., yeah, he did beat them, and they went nowhere. But even then, he STILL tried to put them over, by even having programs with them. They went nowhere, because they sucked. Period.

I have no doubt that Cena brown noses and politics his way to where he is now. To get to that stature, where he almost NEVER loses cleanly, like Hogan in the 80s, yeah, you have to pretty much be kissing some major a$$. Look at Stone Cold Steve Austin. Or the Rock. As huge as they were, they still lost cleanly to people, they still put people over. But not Cena.

The anonymous wrestler was clearly a member of Spirit Squad. It would be way too random to bring up Spirit Squad otherwise. Fact is most of those guys had no real/main stream career ahead of them anyway.

People people please. Leave HBK out of this. Sure he was an asshole but he was also a fantastic wrestler. AND now he’s not even an ass/ anymore so chill. As for John, he did what he had to tah get on top. Maybe those guys should’ve fought harder? It’s a dog-eat-dog industry, we know that. Either rise or get fired…

Bret Hart? Are you serious? He was the biggest backstage complainer the company had ever seen. If you weren’t a friend or family member of the Hart’s or a suck-up to him he’d want nothing to do with you. And if he wasn’t champion than he was b*tching. Actually wait a minute, he did alot of b*tching when he was the champion too so I correct myself.

    @ Devil_Rising

It is also just as easy to come onto a wrestling forum and look down on the people who have no issue with what Cena may or may not have done. It’s also easy to come on here and act as if you would never do such a thing. I know I don’t believe that I would do such a thing, but if given the same opportunities as a John Cena, then things can change your mind very quickly.

However, Cena being in a me first industry then you do what you have to do. Whether or not he stepped on others to get to where he is, who knows. However, even if he did, he still had to get over with the crowds. No amount of stepping on others can accomplish that. That is something he accomplished himself. Also, saying that guys like Savage, Bret Hart, Taker, or anybody else for that have not stepped over anybody is complete rubbish. Unless of course you were and are actually there to witness all of that.

For all you know those individuals you claim have done no such thing could have buried people in private conversations with high ranking officials within the organization. An the reason you may not have ever heard of such a thing might be because they are so respected and well liked that nobody would even think of leaking such information. Not that that is true but to come on here and make such bold claims that those individuals have done no such thing is ridiculous without knowing it is a true fact.

You’re a moron so if you were trying to get a job you wanted so bad and would make you very successful but their were a 100 other ppl trying to get to the exact same job you wouldn’t do what you had to do to get it? Thats Life! what did Cena do wrong… nothing, This “Anonymous Ass whip” was probably 1 of the 5 wrestlers he claims that went up to McMahon and asked for a shot but didnt get it and Cena did and now is holding a grudge and attacking him because of it…How do we know if this is even real if he gonna make claims than he should show his face and stop being a coward
