- Last night’s episode of TNA iMPACT actually scored an 0.98 cable rating, rounded up to a 1.0. The show drew 1.4 million viewers and was down 12.0 percent in ratings and 6.1 percent in TV viewership compared to this past Thursday’s iMPACT.

RAW was down 7.4 percent in ratings and 4.2 percent in viewership this week compared to last week. RAW drew 5.1 million viewers this week.

Spike TV is saying that they expect the iMPACT rating to go up when numbers from DVR viewing are up. They believe a “significant portion” of the audience will watch iMPACT on DVR.

Good to see they can hold a steady number against raw. iMPACT was the better show by miles though.

Your joking right? 1.4 million vs. 5.1 million? Want to hear the biggest mistake TNA has ever done? Going to Monday nights and thinking that they could compete with the big boys. Head back to Tuesday nights and compete with WWE’s 3rd lowest watched show. Trust me, it will be amazing for ratings!

TNA will not defeat RAW in the the ratings! It just wont happen. Simple as that. But I agree that TNA had the better show.

I would think most people that normally watch Raw would DVR Impact. Then when they get to watch Impact they might figure out it’s pretty good… or maybe not.

I won’t make a judgement until the 3/22 show. Next week is taped and tonight was the first show. If that that show bombs I will say TNA has NO CHANCE IN HELL!

Don’t tell me anyone expected Impact to beat Raw on their first episode. Please be realistic.

This is a victory for TNA. They held up a strong rating in the same night that WWE (the king of Monday night wrestling) was on.

The war is on people! TNA held it’s own. It’s there now, fighting the good fight. Now it’s a matter of following up and getting better!

Detractors have been predicting TNA’s death since it’s humble beginnings on weekly ppvs. Look at them now! On Monday nights going head to head with WWE.

While the rating is no doubt a disapointment for TNA officials, they should not be too disheartened and keep up with the quality programming they put on last night.

What TNA really needs to do is increase its revenue….by convincing more of those 1.4 million viewers to buy it’s PPV’s.

I’ve said it before, but TNA doesnt need to BEAT or even compete with RAW in the monday night ratings for the wrestling business over to benefit….just fight them.

tna was way better. i actually saw some damn good wrestling as opposed to shitty magic tricks and boring ass segments(other than taker/hbk, which was awesome) but other than that most of raw sucked and i hate how tna gets no recognition from wwe marks who hate tna just because its tna.

After the DVR viewers I expect it to go from a 1.0 to a 1.4. I do agree though that TNA was better than Raw last night.

Ok I actually like TNA some if for no other reason that it give more wrestlers a place to been seen.
But one common trend that I have notice is they change heel face to much .
No one stays to a set good guy or badguy .
I meam look at Sting Aj kurt angle somoa joe they change to much.
At least wwe keep there stars to a set tone for at least a year .

ive been a huge detractor of tna for a while and now even more that hogan is running the show. last nights show was not good. far from the horror show they put on in january though. i dont like how they used rvd at all and im completely sick of seeing hall and waltman on tv. if they can drop the garbage (the band, the nasty boys, hogan vs. flair) and not try to over stock talent (waaaay too many guys on this roster), tna might have a chance further down the road. the dvr ratings wont help them and niether does the fact that im pretty sure they are still repeating on thursdays. it will be an interesting spring.

This whole ‘RIP TNA’ thing REALLY makes me laugh. Even if they only ever draw lousy ratings against Raw and even end up having to go back to thursday night….the company will still survive.

I DVR TNA and i watch Raw but Raw was so boring this week i think the best match i saw was orton match with Ted and Cody and i saw a little of the Vince and Cena match but TNA did had the better show the only bad thing is Spike TV can’t ever beat USA network 4 some reason if we all remmmber when WWE use to be on Spike there ratings was going low and when they move back to USA network they ratings went up and down but i got to give props to Kurt angle and Mr.Anderson and also the Hogan and Abyss vs Ric and AJ styles match i didn’t know String was going to make a great return and at the end Jeff Hardy wow if hardy fans know where jeff is on belive me they bring more viewers next week the monday night wars will be the best but i dont want to see TNA go out bad they need to challege Smackdown

tna wont out draw raw cause the usa network is in more homes then spike tv and so few people have heard of tna wrestling

but yes impact was the better show only low points to me was sting/rvd the beat down with the bat was way to long

hogan and flair are to old to be wrestling each other as it didnt look good and spike cutting off the end with hardy going to the top ( but i blame spike tv for that not tna )

i agree with Mike, TNA has gone from being a show to showcase young talant to a retirement home for over the hill wwe rejects, (with only a handful of exceptions aka RVD)

You know I feel that Hogan may have been the worst signing in TNA history. Hogan ego is really killing TNA big time.

I believe that TNA was not ready to compet with Raw. Look Raw don’t even have to put up much of a fight because they know just as I do that Hogan while he may have been one of the biggest name in wrestling history is yesterday news. Hogan can not draw in wrestling anymore. That reality show he had really massed up his whole career. I just feel that TNA was starting to do fine once Booker T and a bunch of the old has been left TNA. I thought hey maybe TNA is going to turn the corner. But when they signed Hogan to me it was the begining of the end. Hogan is not a very good business man and it shows.

TNA should have stay on Thrusday night build themself up like WCW did. Try selling out big areans first get your ratings up on Thrusday night then move to Monday night. The way TNA did it was to fast an it all because of Hogan in my opion. He shell out money to anybody right now who wants to come to TNA all these old reject, Nasty Boys, Hall, Xpac and now you got RVD who I never really thought was a big draw to begin with. An what happens when RVD debuts be gets attack by Sting oh that going to help RVD and TNA out. Put the old guy over the new guy in TNA. That is something WCW use to do a lot. Worry about the old guys more then the young guys.

Now to me WWE is more on the right track that TNA is right now. Yes the ratings and veiwership doesn’t show it right now. But the young guys in the WWE are getting there just push and sooner or later one of these young guys is going to turn into a house whole name. Now its going to take time but at least the young guys are getting a chance in WWE don’t see that to much in TNA right now of course it hard to watch TNA right now because old guys are hogging up the spot light.

In closing I feel TNA ratings are going to get worst an not better. A month or two from now when the bills start flying in TNA and Dixie can’t pay everybody like she did before she is going to start fleeing the presure. Hogan ego to me may be the cancer of TNA. Sorry people but number don’t lie. WWE can take a hit in the ratings right now because they have bounce back many times but TNA to me don’t have the type of fan base WWE has. Because why they rush things to fast they should have taken there time.

U no dixie was pretty stupid in hiring hulk hugan. Mainly because he says he doesnt want to go in the ring anymore but yet on march 15 he still wants to fight evenafter he promised his daughter he would not get in the ring. I think that sting attacked hogan cuz he knows that of hogan gets any amount of power he abuses it over the limit. Way to go sting u did the right thing
