Jericho Rips on RVD’s TNA Debut, Matt Hardy vs. Ezekiel Jackson

Posted by Marc Middleton on Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

- Matt Hardy and Ezekiel Jackson have been working together at WWE live event to help polish Jackson’s in-ring skills. Jackson picked up wins over Hardy on two events this past weekend. WWE used Christian to work with Ezekiel when the two were on the ECW brand.

- Chris Jericho wrote the following on Twitter last night regarding RVD’s TNA debut: “The beat down of RVD 20 seconds into his debut in TNA was mind boggling. I dont understand how so many talented people can be so clueless.”

I AGREE WITH CHRIS. THE WAY RVD DEBUT WAS A SLAPP TO THE FACE ON RVD LEGACY YOU CAN SEE THEIR ARE ANY DUMB PEOPLE IN TNA! THE PROBLEM IS THAT WWE PROGRAM IS WORST THAN EVER THANKS TO THE PG AND JOHN CENA BUT IS BETTER THAN TNA. THIS IS THE WORST TIME TO BE A WRESTLING FAN I ONLY SEE WRESTLING BECAUSE OF THE UNDERTAKER AND HBK.

Lets see TNA sucks because they setup at feud for RVD right away? And TNA sucks because they had one of the biggest legends in wrestling that can still wrestle in Sting and a bat give him a beat down yeah horrible!!!!! During one of wrestlings biggest angles and most popular angles ever THE NWO!!!!! Sting would attack the entire NWO with a bat and give them a beat down yeah but that was in WCW where the Ratings sucked at that time RIGHT 5 and 6′s suck right??? so you can see no logic in this angle???? Seem’s like TNA is right on track here and you WWE fanatics are getting a lil nervous that maybe just maybe TNA might give WWE a run for there money and make them get off the behinds and put a lil effort into their product!!!

I’m sorry stockshark but all you had to was listen to the crowd reaction – went from super hot to dead by the end of the angle. It was a terrible way to debut anyone, whats the bet if WWE had done that you’d be on here slagging it off?

Sorry “Stockshark”, but crap is crap.

And RVD’s debut was crap. Why? Because it made him look week as hell. By the time Jeff Hardy made his “return” at the end of the show, it might as well have been as if RVD hadn’t appeared at all. That is not good business, nor is it flattering or entirely respectful of RVD and his place in this business. Yeah, you’re right, he did get beat down by Sting. But did you bother to notice, that he got beat down by Sting, because he was basically being used as a prop in an angle between Sting and Hogan? As in, his debut was secondary, the way they treated it, to Sting feuding with an old man who’s not supposed to wrestle anymore.

So yeah. TNA sucks. And I bet you anything RVD will come to regret his decision to go there, sooner than later.

TNA is gaining momentum – whether you like it or not. WWE is so flippin PANSY and littered with ridiculous storylines and gimicks (i.e. Hornswoggle – GIMMIE A FLIPPIN BREAK).

Hey, let’s bring back Bastion Booger or the Gobbly Gooker while we’re at it.

TNA is on the pulse of what made wrestling great before.

I am a wrestling fan first and foremost. RVD’s debut was terrible, yea RVD pinned Sting in 3 seconds but Sting didnt even sell it, and as fast as RVD got hot was as fast as he got dropped in one segment. Raw wasnt any better either. The best wrestling show is not on MOndays as far as im concerned its on Fridays…Only bright spot from Impact was the X Division triple threat match up until Shannon Moore came out and got an automatic title shot..Both shows need improvemnt and Hoagn, Flair and Sting need to get the F out!!

It’s just gonna make RVD more over and Sting as a super-mega heel. Sting still gets cheers for attacking Hogan and Abyss, but attacking RVD is a slap in the face to Internet fans. What they did worked in case you guys haven’t figured it out. I have been a WWE fan FOREVER and have given TNA so many chances that they keep messing up, but last night, TNA was a better show as much as I hate to say it.

Listen if WWE had this loyal fanbase they have now back in the 90′s WCW would have NEVER won.

You TNA marks really need to settle the hell down.

For the record, again, even though I am a longtime WWF/WWE fan, I am more importantly a WRESTLING fan. I just watched WWF more than WCW back in the day, because I found what I was seeing on WWF tv more interesting, including largely better matches (except for the cruiserweights, who never got pushed seriously anyways).

These days, I enjoy Smackdown, most of the time, because it’s the ONLY show (besides ROH), that has ACTUAL matches most weeks. It’s the “wrestling show”. TNA USED TO BE full of wrestling also, a long long time ago, when they focused on their new stars and the X Division. It was UNIQUE then, even before the six-sided ring gimmick, and long before they started flooding their roster with old, washed up WCW and WWE stars. They have been building it into WCW 2.0 for years, this didn’t just start with Hogan coming in. Vince Russo, for one thing, is “writing” TNA just the same as he did WCW, and it’s killing the product. Vince Russo is not a fan of wrestling, he’s a fan of senseless storylines, pointless “swerves”, and lots and lots of ridiculous “entertainment” segments.

But make no mistake, you can’t call me a “WWE mark”, because I’m not. I’m a wrestling fan. Of actual WRESTLING. The only reason I’ve been watching Raw lately, is because Bret Hart is one of my favorites of all time. He is a legend, and was one of the best this business has ever seen, period. Otherwise, screw Raw. It DOES suck. I AM tired of seeing Cena, Orton, HBK and HHH all the damn time. And the guest host thing, unless it’s a WRESTLER, has always been incredibly lame, and wasting time that could be spent having more MATCHES.

So yes, Raw does suck. But Impact is JUST as bad, in fact it’s worse half the time, which is damned hard to accomplish. Smackdown is still good, because they actually push guys and have good MATCHES. In fact, I wish they’d take every single one of the crap wrestlers on the Smackdown roster, like Batista and Khali, and put them on Raw where they belong. And then move the few GOOD wrestlers, like Carlito & Primo, Christian, Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne, and MVP, over to Smackdown, where they can actually have good matches.

But otherwise, to hell with Raw and Impact, which are BOTH garbage. If Impact actually USED the wrestlers I like more, and bothered having real matches, GOOD matches, on tv and not just on PPV, using guys like “Pope”, Raven, the X Div. guys, Samoa Joe, etc….for more than just comedy skits and pointless run ins…..yeah, I’d watch it. But seriously, if TNA is gaining momentum, it’s backwards and downhill. It’s not getting better, and it’s pointless for them to have RVD, because they’re going to waste him. As a matter of fact, they already are, he should have been THE focus on their monday night live show, the next BIG star coming to TNA. Instead, they let him get a cheap from behind “win” over Sting, and then proceed to make him look like a weak ass and then don’t even mention him for the rest of the show.

Sorry TNA fans. But Impact does in fact suck, as much, if not more, than Raw.

I love Jericho, he is one of my all-time favorites dating back to when he debuted in WCW but just because he thinks it was stupid, doesn’t mean it is. In wrestling, you always have to assume there is a long-term purpose for everything you see.

The way that went down was pure garbage. RVD should have won with a quick rollup or something(NOT with a Rolling Thunder, that was just stupid). Then, next week, he should have cut a promo about being in TNA. Then, the week after next, they could have had Sting beat RVD down with a bat. That would have made sense.

TNA has the talent, it just sucks because it’s written by a bunch of morons.

I agree with Jericho 100% RVD is very clueses. But also lets be honset RVD is really not one of the biggest draw in the world. Yes he has some good hight flying moves but he really not a good wrestler if you take the high flying away what do you have not much. The same goes with Jeff Hardy he is another one when I went to a live Smackdown show 2 years ago an sew Jeff wrestler to me he looks very sloppy in the ring. Now I know there are many RVD and Jeff Hardy fans because both guys are junkies but they again so are most of there fans base.

Never really ever been a big RVD fan. To me he is one of the most overrated wrestler on the internet. Yeah TNA good job you signed somebody who really in the main stream really don’t care about. An as for Jeff Hardy another guy to me who is also very overrated on the internet.
