Future Of The ECW Roster Determined, WWE Diva Rips Celebrity, Upcoming Maria Appearance

– ECW champion Christian made a surprise appearance during tonight’s Raw broadcast to announce that the entire ECW roster will become “free agents” after ECW goes off the air next week.

As the storyline goes, each wrestler on the roster can choose to join either Raw or SmackDown with the new NXT show filling ECW‘s timeslot on Syfy.

– While promoting WrestleMania during an appearance on an Arizona radio station, Maria Kanellis discussed her involvement with Celebrity Apprentice and said she got along with all of the celebrities with the exception of Cyndi Lauper. Maria had this to say regarding the recording artist: “It was more like, girls just wanna be mean, than girls just wanna have fun… I still like [Cyndi], I just don’t want to work with her again… EVER!” (source: Wrestling Globe Newsletter)

– Speaking of Maria, she will be appearing at the World of Wheels Auto Show this Friday, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The show is located at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

– WWE returns to the El Paso County Coliseum in El Paso, Texas on March 19th, 2010. Tickets go on sale February 20th, 2010 at 10 AM. This will be the first WWE event in El Paso since May of 2006. (Thanks to Devin Cutting)

    i dont blame Maria for not wanting to work with her…as Cyndi is known for being a total B*tch seeing as i have met Both Maria & Cyndi…Maria is a total sweetheart & is never nasty to ppl

    THE ROSTERS 4 THE MOST PART ARE ALREADY FULL ONLY 2 GUYS I THINK MATTER IN SWITCHING BRANDS BEING SHELTON AND CHRISTIAN.. I DONT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT GUYS LIKE YOSHI OR RYDER OR ARCHER THOSE GUYS SHOULD BE FEATURD ON NXT

    I think maybe the guys you mentioned might be on the NXT program, maybe. But I also think they might be going with 100% all new stars. On the other hand, you should care where guys like Hurricane and Goldust go too. They are both talented vets, and Hurricane especially still has a long career ahead of him, and needs to be used more than he has been.

    But really, WWE is likely gonna be releasing some people before Wrestlemania anyways, so it’s not as if they couldn’t use some fresh faces on Raw and Smackdown.

    I met Maria in Kuwait along with Ron Simmons, Jimmy Hart, and Ashley Massaro and she was an absolute doll

    i think ECW should do the dispersal draft and let raw and smackdown choose which ex-ecw superstar they want for their show

    Maria came out to greet people in the parking outside of a Smackdown taping in VA months back. She is a very nice person. Shad is a cool dude too, he stepped out of his car to run around and slap literally everyone’s hand.
