Former WWE Diva Disappointed, Edge Note, Kofi Kingston & SummerSlam, More

- Though he has yet to be officially booked in a match for WWE’s SummerSlam pay-per-view, United States Champion Kofi Kingston has plans to wrestle at the event. Kingston wrote on his Twitter page yesterday that he’s getting new tights designed for SummerSlam.

- Former WWE Diva Joy Giovanni noted on her Twitter account that she was disappointed with her experience at Justin Credible’s Icons of Wrestling convention this past weekend in Cromwell, Connecticut. Giovanni wrote: “Many of u have asked about the events this weeknd. 2b honest, the turnout sucked 4 Sat&Sun was just ok. I’m really disappointed w all of it.”

- Edge is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Power Slam, which asks if WWE can replace the long list of inactive WWE headliners with fresher stars.

- Tuesday was WWE producer Dean Malenko’s birthday. He turned 49 years old.

    Happy BDAY to the “Iceman” Dean Malenko. I really miss seeing him wrestle and I really miss seeing Joy Giovanni!
