easy for Batista to do that when he never has to defend it plus cheats yea its all planed but still for someone who is champion there should be no such thing as a non title math everytime they wrestle it should be belt on the line

hogan, HHH, cena and batista don’t deserve to hold the title that long. especially HHH and batista. at least cena and hogan were/are way over with the crowd

funny how there really isn’t many top heel long time reigning champs. i know most of these guys have played both but most of their title reigns are as faces

Umm actually no most of Triple H’s title reigns are as a heel he has had like two as a face. And he deserves it he has come back from two career ending injuries so to say he didn’t deserve it is not true at all then again it’s just my opinion.

Title reigns doesnt mean jack shit anymore. The prestige of winning the WWE Title has been dead a long time ago. all current champions are meaningless. These championship belts are just props and nothing more

i agree with ray beacuse when people like cena or triple h hold the title that long the wwe is just showing their ignorance about what the wwe fans really want

Last time I checked, Batista had only held the WWE Title for 18 days.

Bit unfair if they’re including both belts. The rest have only been fighting for one.

Ray hit the nail on the head. The title does really mean anything anymore. Being WWE or World Heavyweight Champ doesn’t mean anything. The WWE just inserts the title into random feuds. For instance Y2J and Edge. This match at Wrestlemania would have been just as epic without the title in the picture. This is because the feud isn’t about the title. It never was. The title was placed into the feud.

To the first guy the majority of Batista ttle runs have been as a face. He’s only been a heel champ for what 2 months?

it really aggervates me that people hate HHH because of his marriage. He was a Star and a Champ before he and Steph even got married. GOd people piss me off. If u hate this product so much as u all say u do. then just stop watching it. I cant go to this site and keep reading this shit. BTW I am not a Cena fan so u can keep that comment. its just he is an athelte, he is in love with Stephanie. You can see that when they are together. Just get over yourself.

its not fair cos theres 2 belts now and when austin was around there was only 1…. there should only be one belt in WWE that is such bull****

i was hoping they would unify the belts this year at WM26

Has it been that long since Elemination Chamber? Reigning is not the correct word for that list. It should just be the amount of days total a person has held. By putting “reigning” it means that they have held it continuously.

People hate Triple H because he’s a giant dickweed, nothing about his marriage, but does add more to him being a douche. *Gives Sheamus belt* – Belt Credibility now really shattered. Sucks that he held the belt long. I just hope he doesn’t dare go take the #1 or the wrestling gods will weep in shame. On that note, The government is watching our every move.

Edgehead I agree with you 100%. The HHH haters on the internet to me or just so full of themself. The internet must not have been paying attendtion very much when HHH was winning World title before he was married to Steph. Of course most the internet brain cell are fried.

I for one do not the the WWE or World title are priceless in the WWE. For the internet to say that tells me how little the internet knows what they are talking about. Like look at Edge he came back from a major injury for what to be World champion. To me all the wrestler in wrestling wrestle in the WWE for one thing that is to be the very best. That WWE or World title is what each an every wrestlers in wrestling fights for to be the top guy in wrestling. Just because the internet feel that title are meanless doesn’t mean that is true. In fact half the things said on the internet comes out wrong.

In closing HHH to me is one of the all time great. When HHH is finally retire the internet going to see how much of an impact he had made in wrestling. Trust me HHH is going to be the next guy to retire from wrestling very soon. Also to me WWE and World title still means something to those wrestlers. An for the internet that say the WWE and World title are meaningless tells me the internet has no idea what they are talking about.

Actually……HHH WAS with Stephanie when he got his first WWF Championship. Not just in storyline. And no, they weren’t married yet (in real life), but you can’t tell me that dumping China (barf), and being with Steph didn’t have a LOT to do with him suddenly jumping from being a popular mid-carder, to being THE big star in 2000. Maybe he eventually would have been pushed as world champ on his own, but getting in bed with a McMahon absolutely helped, no matter what his fans want to try and say.

But it hardly matters. Batista, Cena, HHH, they don’t belong on that list. But Bruno Sammartino was the highest drawing wrestler in both the 1960s AND 1970s. He is still the longest reigning (almost 8 years) of ANY men’s wrestling world champion in pro wrestling history, in ANY promotion. In fact, at one point, he was chosen by the NWA to be their NWA World Champion, which would have made him the first (and to my knowledge only) man to hold both the NWA and WWF Championship belts. But he turned them down, because he was getting warn out. That’s saying something, to be such as big star, that you have the luxury of turning down being the WORLD CHAMPION, back when that really meant something.

Even Hogan, as much of a schmuck as he is, was the biggest draw in the 80s, and no matter what WWE tries to say about Steve Austin, Hogan was and still is THE most widely known pro wrestler in history. As much trash as Ric Flair tried to talk about this that and the other wrestler, even during his prime, the 80s, for as “Great” as Flair was, he was still overshadowed that entire decade by Hulk Hogan.

And lastly, Bret Hart, in the 90s, before the attitude era, was the biggest drawing wrestler worldwide, of any promotion. Hogan and Flair had gotten old, and while again WWE likes to rewrite history and act like HBK was their biggest star of the 90s, he wasn’t. Bret Hart was. He main evented 3 Wrestlemanias in the 90s, and by far was the most popular wrestler with most fans until he turned heel in 1997.

And for the record, Randy Savage was a huge babyface, almost as big as Hogan, when he won his first WWF Championship.

But quite frankly, as far as pure legacy in wrestling history goes, it doesn’t matter how many titles guys like Batista, Cena, HHH, etc. win…because they will never truly touch Sammartino, Hogan, or Hart.

You know as bad as everyone knocks HHH, look at who he has put over. He tapped to Benoit at WM 20. He lost to Batista at WM, he lost to Orton at WM, he lost to Cena. He was part of the Undertaker’s streak. Come on. Yeah he has his share of kissing ass but guess what, it’s a part of life.

Devil Rising thank you for proving my point that internet people were not paying attendtion when HHH first won the WWE title. If you were when HHH first won the WWE title you would have notice that HHH was with Chyna and not Stephanie. Thankyou for proving my point.

You are right about one thing HHH will never surpass Hogan, Sammartino, Hogan and Hart I always have said that. But HHH and Batista are the best at what they do right now. To me both HHH and Batista has earned there just do.

WWE has two titles now because they bought out WCW. In the 90′s, there was two world champions. One WCW, and one WWE.
