Backstage News: The Real Reason Why Dusty Rhodes Is Hosting RAW Tonight

Tonight’s host of RAW, Dusty Rhodes, is actually a fallback host for a celebrity guest host who didn’t pan out for this week. No certain word yet on who the celebrity guest host was supposed to be, but Lebron James’ name had been mentioned in several reports leading up to tonight as a possible host.

Rhodes is on a short list of standby guest hosts WWE had come up with, in the event that they couldn’t book a celebrity or if someone backs out of a show at the last minute.

    Dusty Rhodes in the in the Hall of Fame and WWE’s using him as a safety net. Wow is all I have to say.

    Probably, A retaliation from the Faces last week. Since his son is in Legacy. It will be the Heel’s week ending in a bad way :)

    Truthfully the celeb guest host thing could get old in time…….I think sprinkling in some established Hall Of Famers and other past stars is a wise idea. Take Jeremy Piven and Ken Jeong…..they did a nice job but there are always going to be some people who have no idea who a person is. I could easily come up with a list of a couple hundred people that would be interested in doing it and so many past stars from WWE so they will always have someone. Trish is now booked I know and so is Bob Barker which should be interesting…..hopefully they’ll find a way for him to utter his famous line from Happy Glimore…”The Price Is Wrong Bitch” LOL.
