2011 WWE TLC PPV Buyrate, Otunga Represents Man In Court, ATL RAW Pre-sale

Posted by Marc Middleton on Friday, January 27th, 2012

- The pre-sale for the final RAW before WrestleMania 28 in Atlanta, Georgia on March 26th kicks off this morning at 10am. The pre-sale password is “ATLANTA.”

- According to TMZ, WWE Superstar David Otunga was in court on Thursday to defend a man who claimed he was wrongfully terminated and denied unemployment benefits from a former job. Otunga and the man appeared in front of the New York Department of Labor and won the case. The man will now get his unemployment benefits. Otunga, who graduated from Harvard Law, worked the case for free.

- According to early numbers from WWE, the 2011 TLC pay-per-view did under 200,000 buys. Before the event that featured CM Punk vs. The Miz vs. Alberto Del Rio, company officials were expecting it to be the lowest buyrate of the year but it looks like it did a bit better than they expected.

You know say what you will about Otunga the wrestler, but that’s pretty cool that he used his law degree to help someone. And more importantly he did it for free. Shows a lot about his character.

I’m not sure what it’s like in the USA, but in the UK in order to remain qualified as a lawyer a lawyer has to do a certain number of cases every year. What with Otunga being a wrestler now, he’s probably just doing his annual quota for 2012 now- which is part of the reason he’d have done it for free (as most wouldn’t hire a part time lawyer to represent them on a case)

Wow, I see Otunga in a better light now. He sure put his degree to use. Nice.

It’s nice Otunga helped save somebody’s job, when when WWE starts to release more talent, he can’t save his own job.

The A List David O should be US champion, not Jake Swagger.

Swagger shouldn’t have anything, not even a job in the WWE. he’s just not entertaining in any way at all. misused to teh core.

I’m going to give David Otunga some props for a classy bit of action right there.
