Oh, by the way, Hogan’s back tonight. Bubba tells everyone that even though they want to see Jeff Hardy tonight, they’re not going to because they put him through a table and now we’re never going to see him again. Roode says it’s great to be back here in Ireland, and he wants to make it clear that they do not suck because Bubba has the largest calves in the world and is the toughest guy and his best friend, Bully Ray. And Roode is the it factor, the leader of the Me Generation, and our World Heavyweight Champion. They’re very proud of what they did to Jeff Hardy last week, but they didn’t get the job completely done, so he demands that James Storm come out right now. Storm comes out and Bubba tells him to stand back and not think about coming near the World Champion, but now Sting’s music hits and he comes out to join the party. Mike Tenay mentions when Sting beat Vader for the title over here 19 years ago, and Sting says he wants to give an update on Jeff Hardy: he says he’s doing fine and will be find when we get to Against All Odds. And since that PPV is coming up quickly, the main event will be a four way between Roode, Bubba, Storm, and Hardy. Storm says he wants Bubba and Roode tonight, so Sting says he’s going to get both of them tonight, starting with Roode and ending with Bully Ray.

Garett Bischoff is walking around backstage telling his trainer that he’s here and he’ll see whoever it is when he gets there. Gee, I wonder who it could be. I don’t know, maybe the guy they’ve been heavily hyping as returning tonight.

Samoa Joe & Brutus Magnus vs Matt Morgan & Crimson

This one is a Buckingham Brawl and the winning team can both stay in the ring without having to make tags, and the loser has to go by standard tag team rules. So Crimson is the lucky winner, and Joe and Magnus go right after Morgan and knock him off the apron before laying Crimson out with an inverted atomic drop/big boot/senton combo. They work Crimson over in the corner, and Crimson tries to fire back but gets his head taken off by a lariat from Magnus and Joe follows up with a leaping kneedrop for 2. Crimson finally manages to dodge a charge from Joe and suplex Magnus and finally tag out to Morgan. Morgan goes nuts and hits a fallaway slam on Magnus, then dumps Joe to the floor and hits a side suplex on Magnus for 2. Joe is back in but Crimson spears him and they go out to the floor as Morgan flattens Magnus with a clothesline. Morgan sets up for the Carbon Footprint but Magnus ducks and Morgan lands on the top rope, then Joe and Magnus hit the running knee/snapmare/elbowdrop and get the win.

Winners: Samoa Joe & Brutus Magnus

Great stuff, I’m really enjoying this feud and both teams get better by the day.

Eric Bischoff arrives at the arena, and we’ll find out what he wants later on tonight!

Actually, looks like we’ll find out right now. Eric Bischoff comes out of the back, gets flipped off by a ringside fan, and gets in the ring to say that he thought Brits were supposed to be civilized. We’ve all followed the last few weeks as Garett has lived his fantasy about becoming a pro wrestler and trying to become half the man he is. He’s here tonight to burst that bubble with a good shot of reality, so he wants Garett to come to the ring. Garett comes out and Eric says it’s okay to have goals, but his goals became a fantasy, and to think for a second that he can get a trainer to bring him to higher levels, it’s just a sad waste of time because they both know it’s never going to happen. The trainer’s a coward, he’ll never step in the ring to back him up, it was a bad choice, and he’s disappointed in Garett. Garett’s sad he’s upset about his choice, but if he has a problem, he can tell the guy himself. Eric says we all know he’s never going to come to London to back him up or help anybody. Garett cuts the promo off to take a phone call, and Eric looks really amused, but Garett says when he’s right he’s right…but when he’s wrong, he’s dead wrong because he’s here, he’s in the building, and he wants to see Eric right here tonight.

We’re back and we go to a promo/video package with Mark Haskins, who you might remember from his appearances in TNA last year. He’s wrestled all over the world and we’re in his house tonight and he’s on a level the other guys in the X Division aren’t.

X Division Champion Austin Aries vs Mark Haskins

Aries quickly takes Haskins down and outwrestles him to get the crowd chanting for him. Then Haskins takes Aries down and goes through the exact same sequence, to a round of boos. Aries with a knee to the midsection and tries to dump Haskins to the floor, but Haskins skins the cat into a flying headscissors and hits a series of moves. Haskins tries to dumps Aries to the floor and now Aries tries to skin the cat, but Haskins dropkicks him to the floor. Haskins goes for a springboard move, but Aries shoves him off and Haskins shish kebabs himself on the top rope before being knocked to the floor by Aries. Aries comes off the top with a shot to Haskins on the floor as the crowd goes nuts for him, and he rolls Haskins back in and hits a slingshot senton and an elbowdrop off the ropes for 2. Aries puts Haskins on the top rope and Haskins fights him off, but Aries again shakes the ropes and crotches Haskins on the top rope. Aries goes for the IED, but Haskins moves out of the way and starts a fiery comeback. He hits a monkey flip, Aries blocks a second one, but he follows right up with a crossbody out of the corner for 2. Haskins with an Ace Crusher for 2 then he goes to the top again and goes for a shooting star press, but Aries moves and Haskins nearly breaks his neck by landing on his face. Aries quickly hits a brainbuster and gets the Last Chancery and Haskins taps.

Winner: Austin Aries

We see five replays of Haskins coming down badly on the shooting star press before we see the replay of Aries finishing him.

Eric Bischoff is on his cell phone backstage trying to call for a cab, but Sting comes out to cut his phone call short and tell him to relax since Garett’s trainer won’t be here tonight…right? Besides, there’s a show to do, so he shows Eric back inside as we head back out to the ring for the first part of the main event.

World Champion Robert Roode vs James Storm

They tie up and feel each other out, Roode comes off the ropes and gets a shoulderblock, but Storm comes back with a hiptoss, bodyslam, elbowdrop, and a legdrop for 2. Storm goes for the Last Call but Roode bails out to the floor for a breather. While he’s out there, why don’t we take a commercial break?

We’re back and Storm is working Roode over in the corner, but comes off the ropes right into a running knee to the gut from Roode. Roode continues working over Storm’s midsection with shoulderblocks in the corner, followed by a running shoulderblock to the gut and a gourdbuster for 2. Roode rakes the back and continues kicking at Storm’s abdomen, Storm tries to fire back but Roode ducks a shot and picks Storm up in a fireman’s carry for an inverted F5 that gets 2. Roode with the Bret Hart stomp to the lower abdomen and then goes to a bearhug on the mat. Storm fights his way to his feet as the camera pulls back and you see that TNA packed a lot of people in here. Storm escapes and comes off the ropes, Roode goes for the knee to the gut again but Storm dives past him and gets a schoolboy rollup for 2. They go toe to toe in the middle of the ring, Roode with a kick to the gut and then he goes to the second rope but Storm cracks him with a right hand to the jaw and hits a top rope Frankensteiner. Storm takes control with a series of clotheslines and a running forearm. Storm with a lungblower and then he goes to the top rope and comes off with a flying elbow for 2. Roode catches Storm out of nowhere with the Crippler Crossface, but Storm rolls through the move and gets to the ropes. Roode with a straight kick to Storm’s ribs and goes for the Perfectplex, Storm escapes and goes for the Eye of the Storm, but his midsection’s too badly hurt and he drops Roode. Roode hits the Perfectplex but only gets 2, so he goes outside the ring and gets the title belt, then brings it into the ring. He shoves the referee out of the way but Storm comes out of nowhere with Closing Time. He sets for the Last Call but Bully Ray comes running out and grabs Storm ankle to keep him from hitting the move. The interference gave Roode just enough time to hit a spear and get the win.

Winner: Robert Roode

They’re not done with Storm, and Roode lays the belt in the middle of the ring so Bubba can hit a Rock Bottom onto the belt. Sting runs out to make the save as Roode and Bubba bail out to the floor. Storm’s still got one match to go, and Sting tells Roode he’s going to keep his eye on him.

Knockouts Champion Gail Kim vs Tara

Anyone else notice that Gail’s music sounds like the old Sid Justice entrace music from 1991-92? Tara overwhelms Gail to start, slams her, tears her shirt off, and hits a standing moonsault for 2. Madison grabs Tara’s ankle from the outside and allows Gail to spear her in the corner (wait a minute, that was the finish of the last damn match!), then Gail slumps Tara on the second rope and hits her with a vertical splash. Gail with a leaping clothesline ot the back and a running knee to the back for 2. Gail goes for another fall and again gets 2. Gail with a horse collar on Tara’s bad knee, Tara gets out but Gail with a stiff clothesline and plays to the crowd instead of going for a fall. Gail plays with Tara, shoving her around before hitting a hard kick to the back and getting a Dragon sleeper. Tara snapmares out of the hold but Gail with another hard kick and a neckbreaker. Gail comes off the top with a back senton, but Tara moves and Gail hits hard. Tara with right hands and a snap suplex, then a BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK BODYDROP. Tara with a snap powerslam and Madison gets up on the apron, but Tara goes and slugs her. Madison sneaks in and tries to hit Tara from behind, but Tara sees her coming and moves, and Madison hits Gail. Tara dumps Madison to the floor and hits the Widow’s Peak to get the win.

Winner: Tara

I believe that’s the first time somebody’s caught a fall on Gail since she’s been back in TNA, but I’m sure some sharp-eyed reader out there would be kind enough to correct me if I’m wrong about that.

Garett Bischoff is backstage, and he’s…WALKING! We’ll find out who his trainer is next!

Garett Bischoff comes out to the ring and thanks the fans for being so supportive through his time in the business so far, and he’s about to introduce his trainer when Eric Bischoff comes out with Gunner. Eric says they’ve got eyes everywhere and they know he’s not here, so he should give it up before he gets hurt. Apparently Eric wasn’t looking that hard because here comes the Hulkster, looking as orange as ever. Hogan celebrates his return by beating up Gunner and then ping ponging him between Hogan and Garett. Gunner rolls to the outside and then Hogan and Garett turn their attention to Eric, but Gunner drags Eric to the floor to save his neck. Hogan and Garett shake hands as Eric and Gunner head to the back while looking mad. Oh, and Hogan appears to have gotten more ink, this time across the back of his shoulders. It’s still really weird seeing him all tatted up.

By the way, did I mention how awesome Matt Morgan is in the Direct Auto Insurance commercials?

We go backstage to Hogan and Garett, and Hogan says that Eric Bischoff knows he has a target on his back, and what better way to drive it home by having all the fans in England tell him what they think of him? He tries to incite the fans to riot by saying how great it would be to attack him in a mob assault, and Garett says it was great to see the look on his father’s face because it was like someone walked over his grave. Hogan makes fun of Eric’s tiny soldier, then says how great it is to be back in England because it’s been 18 years, but the fans are as ravenous as ever. TNA is this close to being the best in the world, and he knows they can get there because they’re doing everything right.

Time for the second half of tonight’s main event!

Bully Ray vs James Storm

Bubba asks Storm how his ribs are, then tells him he’s going to break his ribs, but ducks through the ropes when Storm goes after him. They head into the corner where Bubba opens him up so he can gently slap Storm on the ribs to get in his head. Storm spits in his face and fires off some right hands and hits a BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK BODYDROP, but Bubba with a kick to the ribs and Storm goes down in a heap. Bubba takes free shots at Storm’s ribs and picks him up for a suplex, but drops him gut first on the top rope, then stands right on Storm’s chest. Bubba with a camel clutch and fishhooks his mouth, then stands up and drops all his weight on Storm’s back before tearing the bandages off of Storm’s ribs. Bubba with a big bodyslam as Robert Roode wanders out to ringside to give Bubba a thumbs up. We’re at commercial.

We’re back, and Sting wanders out to the ring but, instead of the standard baseball bat, Sting’s got a cricket bat over his shoulder. How clever! Bubba gets Storm in a side bearhug which is actually more effective for working over the ribs, but Storm boxes his ears repeatedly to get out of the hold. Storm comes off the ropes, but runs right into a big boot from Bubba, who turns to Sting and says that one was for him. Bubba with a pair of elbowdrops for 2, then kneels on Storm’s back while pulling his arm up at an awkward angle. Storm fires back but Bubba yanks him down to the mat by the hair as Roode smiles at ringside. Bubba with what I can only call the People’s Big Splash for 2, then yells back at fans for chanting Devon’s name at him. Bubba with a STIFF chop in the corner and a big vertical suplex, then he comes off the second rope with a senton, but Storm moves out of the way and it looks like the momentum has shifted. Storm starts firing off right hands at Bubba, then hits a series of clotheslines. Storm snaps Bubba’s neck down on the top rope and comes off the top rope with a crossbody, but only gets 2. He should have sold the impact of that move a little more. Bubba catches Storm coming off the ropes with a side suplex for 2, but then the both of them and the referee all collide in the corner and everyone’s down. Roode tries to get in the ring to interfere, but Sting comes in and chases him off. Roode backs down as Storm and Bubba make it back to their feet and Storm hits the Last Call for the win.

Winner: James Storm

Source: PWInsider.com

Spoilers: TNA Impact Wrestling Tapings – February 9th

TNA Results
<guid

And in a perfectly logical follow up to that attack, we begin tonight’s episode backstage where Jeff Hardy is beating the CRAP out of Bully Ray and choking him with a broomstick. He rams him into every ladder and wall he can find, past a couple of barbed wire boartds that just happen to be laying around in the background, and then they obliviously keep fighting as Bobby Roode pulls up in a giant white pickup truck, gets out and slams the door behind him, and attacks Hardy from behind. Hardy goes down, and Bubba continues working him over with a pipe before throwing a big wooden pallet down on top of him. Bubba tells Roode to open the back of the truck, and they dump him into the back and get ready to make off with Hardy, no doubt to bury him in the desert, but James Storm runs in to make the save and goes after both men. He busts Bubba open hardway it seems, but Roode jumps him from behind and they manage to beat him down as well. They get ready to put Storm in the truck with Hardy, but Sting comes out with his baseball bat and nails both of them until they run off.

From there, we go right to the ring for our opening match…

#1 Contender’s Match: Velvet Sky vs Mickie James vs Tara

They all shake hands and then Tara boots Velvet in the midsection, Mickie goes for a clothesline but Tara falls into a back bridge and Mickie wipes Velvet out with a clothesline. Velvet recovers and dumps Mickie to the floor, then goes to cover Tara but Tara picks her up and rams her to the corner and goes for the Widow’s Peak. Mickie breaks that up with a boot to the midsection and gets an O’Connor roll for 2. Mickie and Tara go at it in the corner and Tara just slams Mickie face first into the mat by the hair. Tara charges Mickie in the corner and runs into Mickie’s elbow as we go to commercial.

We come back as Velvet hits a monkey flip on Tara and goes for the Pedigree, but Mickie stops her with a hanging neckbreaker. Tara slams Mickie and does the ass shaking standing moonsault, Mickie rolls out of the way and Velvet starts beating them both up. Velvet with a flying headscissors on Mickie but Tara takes her out with a clothesline. Mickie with a flapjack on Tara as I think I see Ron Jeremy sitting in the audience behind her, then she goes up top and takes Velvet out with the flying hooch to the mouth. Tara dumps Velvet to the floor, Mickie spinkicks Tara in the jaw and covers, but Tara gets her hand on the bottom rope at 2. Mickie goes for the DDT, Velvet takes her out with a clothesline, Tara gives Velvet a spinning side suplex onto Mickie and covers Mickie for the win.

Winner: Tara

Well, that was a bit of a surprise. Gotta admit, I expected Mickie to win here but Tara and Gail have had good matches in recent weeks so all good by me. Gail Kim is backstage watching on a monitor and congratulates her, saying the best woman won, but she’s going to show why she’s the best Knockout in history is. She and Tara know each other inside and out (???) but she’ll prove she’s the best at Against All Odds.

Sting is backstage, and he’s…WALKING!

We take a look back at the brawl that opened the show, and then Sting comes out to the ring with a still selling Hardy and Storm. I like to see that. He tells Bully Ray and Robert Roode to get down to the ring right now, leading to a brawl between the two sides until Sting uses a…shall we say, show of authority (with his bat) and separates everyone. They start fighting again, so Sting drops his microphone and goes after Bubba and Roode with the bat again. Sting says it’s obvious you can’t tame wild animals, then agrees with the crowd to let them fight, so Hardy and Storm will take on Roode and Bubba tonight in a tag match. The fight starts again and Storm suggests to Sting that they make it a tables match. Sting asks the crowd what they think, and Ron Jeremy says it sounds great, so we have a tables match tonight.

Alex Shelley is backstage saying he’s gone longer without being in the ring than he has since he was 18, and tonight he’s got Zema Ion who is good, but he’s not X Division Title material, and when he gets Aries he’s going to win the title because Aries isn’t in his class.

Eric Young is backstage getting ready for his match and runs into a guy he thinks is Sammy Davis Jr, but then Winter and Angelina Love come out and pretend to seduce him so Angelina can try and kick him in the cajones, but he’s wearing a cup for, as Eric says, his yeast infection. They run off as ODB shows up and tells him they’re wrestling Winter and Angelina later and he better hit those hussies.

Alex Shelley vs Zema Ion

They tie up and Ion takes Shelley to the ropes, Shelley gets a side headlock and really cranks on it, Ion shoots him to the ropes but Shelley gets a series of chain wrestling moves ending in a stack for 2. Shelley opens up on Ion with chops, then a snapmare and the indy kick to the back. Ion begs for mercy as Shelley goes after him in the corner, but cheapshots Shelley when he backs off and hits a twisting crossbody off the second rope for 2. Ion goes for a headscissors, but Shelley just dumps him on his face and sends him to the outside. Ion dodges a baseball slide, but Shelley dodges an elbowdrop as he comes back into the ring. Ion hits a hotshot and a neckbreaker for 2 and then pokes Shelley in the eye, but doesn’t get disqualified for some reason. Hmmm, I thought they changed the rule. This allows Shelley to recover and run over Ion with some clotheslines and a Flatliner into the second turnbuckle, then Shelley comes off the ropes with a double stomp, Ion moves and hits a DDT out of nowhere. Ion goes to the top for the 450, Shelley dodges (and Ion would have fallen way short anyway), and Shelley hits Sliced Bread #2 for 3.

Winner: Alex Shelley

AJ Styles is backstage wondering what kind of effect the business has had on everyone because all his buddies in Fortune have kind of turned their backs on him, so he knew it was only a matter of time with Frankie. He can be Daniels’ puppet, but they’re going to get to the bottom of this TONIGHT.

Tara is also backstage, and she’s thrilled to be the #1 contender and will have the belt around her size 28 waist soon. She knows Gail’s repertoire and all her dirty tricks, but she’ll be ready for them.

Eric Bischoff shows up at Garett Bischoff’s MMA gym and wants to know where his trainer is. We’ll find out who it is…NEXT!

We come back to Eric Bischoff at Garett’s gym, and Eric is clearly stunned to see who it is, but tells the cameraman to stop filming and get out of here and we don’t get a chance to find out who it is.

Angelina Love & Winter vs Eric Young & ODB

EY and Angelina start, and of course EY goes to tie up with the referee instead of one of his opponents. Then he does it again. Then he cartwheels and claps to the crowd. Then he ties up with the referee again and Winter finally nails him from behind. He slowly turns around and takes his pants off, so Winter bails out of the ring. Angelina comes in so ODB tags herself in and runs over Angelina with a clothesline and smashes her with an avalanche in the corner. She hits the Bronco Buster, knocks Winter off the apron, then goes toe to toe with Angelina while EY ties up with the referee AGAIN. Winter hooks ODB’s foot from the outside and Angelina yanks her down by the hair and covers for 2. Winter with a side backbreaker for 2, then hangs ODB in the Tree of Woe and chokes her with her boot. Winter distracts the referee while Angelina chokes her from the outside and then Winter comes over and kicks her in the vajayjay and covers for 2. ODB goes to make the hot tag, stops to take a hit of the ol’ bird, and goes toe to toe with Angelina instead. ODB with a series of shoulderblocks and a fallaway slam, then EY gets Winter up in a fireman’s carry while ODB gets Angelina up in what I suppose is a firewoman’s carry, they do stereo airplane spins and ODB hits a Samoan drop for the win.

Winner: Eric Young & ODB

ODB gives Young a big smooch as they celebrate in the ring, and then we go backstage to Bully Ray who asks Roode when his partner grew a set of balls. Roode says he didn’t see that coming, and Bubba says he didn’t keep him in check like he did with Devon. Bubba says he’s the World Champion, Roode says yeah, and Bubba says “not for long.” Roode asks what that meant and Bubba says never mind because they need to go do this, but neither wants to turn their back on the other and leave first. Dissension!

We see a video package recapping the history between Matt Morgan & Crimson and Samoa Joe & Brutus Magnus, including last week when Crimson beat Magnus but the champs got laid out by Joe and Magnus.

Samoa Joe vs Matt Morgan

Joe tries to take Morgan’s legs out with kicks, then takes Morgan to the corner and fires off some right jabs. Morgan throttles Joe and backs him across the ring and lays in some hard right hands and a chop, followed by a Boss Man Drop on the top rope. Morgan with a legdrop on the ring apron and a headbutt, never a good idea against a Samoan. Joe gets to the top rope and gets the Kokina clutch, but Morgan just backs into the corner to get Joe to break the hold. Morgan with some hard elbows and a running clothesline for 2. Morgan charges Joe in the corner and eats his elbow, does it again and catches the boot, and Joe comes off the second rope with a boot to the face. Joe with a running elbow and leaping enziguiri in the corner for 2, then they go toe to toe in the corner and Morgan comes out on top of that exchange and starts rolling again with more clotheslines. Morgan with a running clothesline in the corner, across the ring for another one, and a side suplex for 2. Morgan signals that he’s going to finish, but takes too long and Joe gets an inverted atomic drop and senton for 2. Joe gets a spinning toehold, but Morgan kicks him off into the corner and hits a discus clothesline for the win.

Winner: Matt Morgan

Magnus goes after Crimson on the floor and Morgan goes to save, but Joe comes after him from behind and takes out his legs, setting Magnus up to connect with a top rope elbowdrop, then they head up the ramp and taunt Morgan and Crimson from the entryway.

AJ Styles is backstage, and he’s…WALKING!

James Storm and Jeff Hardy are backstage saying how funny it is that they went from kicking each other’s butts to watching each other’s backs, but that’s because it’s business and they don’t take it personally. Tonight they started the show with a bang and end it with a BOOM!

AJ Styles comes out to the ring and says he wants to know why Kazarian turned on him and why he’s letting Daniels order him around like a dog, but Daniels’ music hits and he comes out with Kazarian, who can’t even make eye contact with Styles. Kazarian starts to talk, but Daniels snaps his fingers and Kazarian hands him the microphone. Daniels says it’s familiar to see him standing in the ring complaining because for ten years, whenever he faces some adversity, he comes out and gets a microphone to complain so everyone can hear, and if the Golden Boy doesn’t get his way, he throws a tantrum, he throws microphones, fists, chairs, or whatever at other athletes. They’re not playing this game because Kazarian doesn’t owe AJ and answers or a damn thing. AJ says that’s fine because there’s other ways of getting answers, he climbs out of the ring and goes after them but Daniels says do it just like a thug from Gainesville, Georgia. AJ says he’s got a better way: he’ll turn his back and let Kazarian get in the ring and take his head off and he wants Kazarian to make his decision right now. Kazarian turns to leave, but Daniels stops him and tells him to go get him right now. Kazarian marches to the ring…but stops. Daniels asks him what he’s doing and tells him to just take his head off, then goes after AJ himself. AJ quickly takes him out with a leaping enziguiri, then tells Kazarian that he doesn’t care what’s going on between he and Daniels, but he needs to make it right, make his decision, and get in the ring with him right now. Kazarian looks down at Daniels, then gets up on the apron and hesitates before getting in the ring. AJ sticks his hand out, but Daniels tells him to stop and says he knows exactly why he can’t shake AJ’s hand and to get out of the ring right now. Kazarian hangs his head and follows Daniels out of the ring, and Daniels says he’s had it up to here and AJ has put his hands on him for the last time, so he’s going to go to Sting to propose a match to settle this once and for all: he wants AJ Styles to take on Frankie Kazarian, and tells Kazarian to go to Sting and ask for the match right now.

It’s main event time!

Jeff Hardy & James Storm vs Robert Roode & Bully Ray

Bubba’s still got the blood on his head from earlier, really nice touch. The match immediately spills out to the floor and they fight around ringside and occasionally ram each other into the ominous tables at ringside. Bully Ray tries to suplex Hardy through a table, but Hardy hooks his foot on the ropes and sinks back down before ramming Bubba into the steps and coming off the apron with a double axhandle. Storm goes for a suplex on the ramp, Roode blocks and reverses to one of his own as Hardy unsuccessfully tries to suplex Bubba into the table and gets slammed as a result. Bubba tells Roode to put Storm’s head on the table and goes to whip it with the chain, but Storm fights his way out and Hardy comes out of nowhere to come to the rescue as we go to commercial.

After the commercial (where I saw some lunatic fighting an alligator while doing a cell phone commercial), we’re back and Storm is spewing beer in Bubba’s face and ramming him into the guardrail. Hardy catapults Roode into the ringpost and then slides a table into the ring. Storm rolls the champion into the ring and they set the table up and try to suplex Roode through it, but Bubba pulls the table out of the way and wipes both men out with a double clothesline. Bubba drills both men square in the face with right hands, then tries to backdrop Hardy through the table, but now Storm moves the table and saves Hardy, then clotheslines Bubba out to the floor. Storm goes out after him, but Roode puts the boots to Storm from the apron before going back after Hardy. Roode sets a table up in the corner and Hardy starts to fight back, but Bubba nails him and tries to charge Hardy with a big boot. Hardy moves and Bubba’s foot goes through the table, and Storm dumps him to the outside again, but turns around right into a spinebuster from Roode. Bubba drags Hardy over to the corner and pulls him into the ringpost by the hair as Roode takes Storm outside and slams his face into the ring steps. Roode brings Storm back in and tries to superplex him onto the table, but Hardy comes in from behind and hits the Twist of Fate, then sets Roode up on the table so Storm can come off the top rope with a flying elbowdrop that sends Roode through the table and brings this match to an end.

Winners: James Storm & Jeff Hardy

Bully Ray comes in after the match and just DESTROYS both men with a chair while Taz explains how embarrassed he must be at losing a tables match. Bubba pulls a table out from under the ring and sets it up on the inside, he grabs Hardy and tells Roode to hit Storm. Roode kicks Storm in the face, then they set Hardy up and deliver a Super Bomb through the table, leaving him a flattened mess as EMTs come in to check on him and Bubba and Roode again stand tall to close the show.

Source: PWInsider.com

TNA Impact Wrestling Results – January 19th

TNA Results
<guid

He said Kurt Angle is the greatest wrestler in the history of the business, but he said he was going to beat him and he did. Now Bobby Roode will have to stand face to face with him at Against All Odds and get his ass whooped, and all he has to say to him is that he’s sorry about Roode’s- wait a minute, Storm is cut off by Jeff Hardy’s music, and the Charismatic Enigma himself comes out in his “sleeping on a park bench” duds to high five fans and get his name chanted. Well, while he’s out here, he also has some stuff to discuss with Storm. He got screwed at the PPV and again last week, and it seems the Creatures keep getting screwed, and he wants Storm to know that nobody else gets a shot at Roode until he has his final encounter with him. Storm says he got screwed too, and with all the screwing he’s been doing, Roode’s got to be paying a lot of child support by now, but- wait, here comes the World Champion! He tells Hardy and Storm to stop it so they can all get along for once. He’s flattered that they’re fighting over a shot at his title, but he reminded Storm that Sting said he’d become the #1 contender to the winner of the match between himself and Hardy, but since there was no winner, that means that Storm’s title shot is now null and void. As far as Hardy’s concerned, he’s allabout giving to the needy, but come on, he came him two title shots within five days and Hardy failed both times, so no more title shots for him either.

Sting’s music hits, and I have a feeling he’s going to set things straight. Shouldn’t Roode be expecting this when he comes out and says these things by now? Sting congratulates Roode for finding a loophole with the Bully Ray thing, but we’re going to fix this all tonight by having a #1 contender match tonight, IN THIS VERY RING, between…Who? Jim Neidhart is wrestling tonight? He says it’s going to be between Jeff Hardy and James Storm, and bids the fans ta-ta for now. As Mike Tenay says, short and to the point and a good way to start the show.

Tonight: Madison Rayne faces Mickie James in a steel cage!

The Mystery Cameraman is backstage asking Angelina Love how she feels about Eric Young getting up close and personal with her, and she says that it was disgusting, but if he wants to put his hands on her, to come to the ring and face her in a match tonight and to leave her boyfriend ODB at home.

Gunner vs AJ Styles

Tie up to start and AJ takes Gunner to the corner, but breaks clean. Gunner shoves him, so AJ slaps him and kicks at Gunner’s knee. AJ with a side headlock, but Gunner shoots him into the corner and clubs him from behind with a double axhandle. AJ counters a hiptoss attempt to a backslide for 2, then shoots Gunner to the ropes and hits a dropkick that sends Gunner scurrying to the floor. Gunner is angry, and kicks the stairs until the guy who’s going to be showing up at the competition’s Hall of Fame ceremony comes over to calm him down. Gunner heads back in and chops at AJ’s throat and rains down with heavy elbow smashes and a hard vertical suplex for 2. Gunner with a seated bearhug on AJ, lets him go briefly to attack the ribs, and goes back to the bearhug. AJ does a smart job of escaping the bearhug by shimmying his arm between Gunner’s hand and indeed escapes, but comes off the ropes right into a high knee from Gunner that gets 2. Gunner with a big kneedrop off the ropes for 2, AJ tries to fire back with right hands from his knees but Gunner shuts him down. Gunner shoots AJ to the corner and goes for a charge, but AJ gets the boot up and takes him out with a clothesline, then goes out to the apron and comes back in with a springboard forearm. Christopher Daniels drags Frankie Kazarian down the ramp and tells him he knows what he has to do and to do it as Gunner gets AJ in a fireman’s carry. AJ slips out and hits an enziguiri, but Flair distracts the referee as Kazarian jumps up onto the apron and clotheslines AJ, setting Gunner up to hit a NASTY spike DDT for the win.

Winner: Gunner

Excellent match, and I’m glad to see Gunner’s push has returned, he could use a bit of momentum coming off the losses to Garett Bischoff. Gunner pulls back the ringside mats and Kazarian looks like he wants to help, but Daniels stops him and AJ has to escape on his own and go into the crowd to save himself.

Brutus Magnus is backstage with Samoa Joe and says he’s ready and he’s going to take it to that meathead Crimson. Matt Morgan and Crimson come in and Crimson says they can go right now, but Morgan says to save it and take care of Magnus in the ring. Magnus closes the promo by turning to the Mystery Cameraman and assuring him that he’s got this.

Bully Ray is backstage with Sting and he knows that Sting’s not happy with him, but he hasn’t lost one singles match since he’sbecome a singles wrestler, so he wants Sting to do him a favah and grant him a title shot. Sting says he’s not going to do him a favah, and to remember that he’s the boss and Bubba’s the employee, and next time he wants to talk to him, to make an appointment. Bubba says he doesn’t make appointments because he’s Bully Ray, and Sting shoves Bubba hard on the chest and takes off his sunglasses, then when Bubba doesn’t do anything, Sting says he thought so and walks off as Bubba stares angrily after him.

Brutus Magnus vs Crimson

Magnus jumps Crimson from behind before the bell and nearly tears through him with a running clothesline. Magnus chokes Crimson with his knee, then pops Crimson up and drops him in a vertical suplex. Magnus goes for a series of pinfall attempts, but can’t get morethan a two count, so he repeatedly rams Crimson into the turnbuckle instead. Magnus tries a charge in the corner, but Crimson catches him coming in and hits the Red Sky for the win.

Winner: Crimson

Quick, but Magnus looked great here. Samoa Joe runs in and attacks Crimson from behind, beating him down to the mat and putting the boots to him before knocking out the referee when he tries to intervene. Joe goes back to beating down Crimson and yells at him to get up. Magnus comes over to join in and chokes Magnus out with his boot, and now FINALLY Morgan runs in to save his partner, but barely makes a dent before Joe clips Morgan’s knee and then they hit their tag team finish on Morgan and Magnus looks really pleased with himself as Joe just looks like he wants to kill someone. We see Crimson laid out on the floor as Joe stands over Morgan and gets right in his face shouting at him.

Eric Young is running around somewhere and sees a giant poster for a Bellator Fighting Championship show and thinks about becoming a pro fighter. He sees one of the catering women come over and he wants to spar with her, but she says she’s just a caterer and not a fighter. Young says it’s okay because he doesn’t fight women, but ODB comes over and says he’s got a match tonight. Young seems less than enthusiastic, but ODB says if he does a number on Angelina, she’ll do a number on his booty. My mind fills up with all kinds of ideas of what that could have meant, but Eric assumes she meant holding hands and that’s just one step away from marriage.

We take a look back at Garett Bischoff standing up to his father last week, and mentioning that he’s got a new trainer, then we go to a training montage as Garett Bischoff trains hard to become a professional wrestler while mixing in his regular MMA training. He finally turns to the camera and tells his old man that he can’t wait to get back to the Impact Zone and see the look on his face when he finds out who his trainer is.

From there, we go to a video package detailing the history of the latest chapter of the Mickie James-Madison Rayne feud leading into last week when Sting made tonight’s cage match. We then go to the Knockouts locker room as Madison’s freaking out over having to do this match, but Gail Kim tells her to relax because they’re a team and she’ll be there for Madison just like she always has been for Gail.

Time for main event #1!

Cage Match: Mickie James vs Madison Rayne

Gail walks off before the match, leaving a perplexed and terrified Madison alone to face Mickie in the cage. Mickie goes right after Madison, yanking her down by the hair and plowing over her with a clothesline before putting the boots to her in the corner. Madison tries to climb out of the cage, but Mickie carries her out to the middle of the ring and hits a sitout powerbomb. Mickie looks like she’s dropped some weight recently and looks in good shape as she hits a snapmare and running boot to the face for 2. Mickie catches Madison in the Tazmission, and Taz just describes the hold and says she might get a submission out of it, completely no-selling how many matches he’s won with that very same hold. Madison does manage to escape and PUNTS Mickie square in the face. DAMN THAT WAS UGLY! We’re at commercial while Mickie pulls her jaw out of her nose.

Okay, we’re back and Mickie has recovered enough to fire off several forearms in the corner, but Madison goes to the eyes and tries to climb the cage. Mickie drags her down and hits a flapjack and tries to go to the top rope, but Madison nails her and hits a neckbreaker over the top rope. Madison grinds Mickie’s face into the cage and hits a snap suplex, then rolls through and gets a textbook neckbreaker for 2. I was hoping she’d do two more suplexes so I could call in the Three BFFs, but alas. Madison yanks Mickie down to the mat by the hair, then humps Mickie’s face repeatedly into the mat, or as Mike Tenay calls it, a scissor stomp. Madison goes to a rear chinlock, Mickie tries to fight out, but Madison gets a kneelift to the ribs and shoots her to the corner, charges in with a running knee, then a spinning bulldog puts Mickie down on the mat. Madison yells at Mickie to get up and then whips her to the corner, following in with a butt splash a la Yokozuna, albeit with far less mass to do damage with. Indeed, Mickie still has enough to hit a neckbreaker out of nowhere, and Madison slams her face into the mat, but Mickie elbows her and then repeatedly slams Madison’s face into the mat. They go strike for strike before Mickie connects with a series of clotheslines and forearms, but Madison again breaks the momentum by going to Mickie’s eyes. Madison with another kick right to the head and covers Mickie for 2, then mounts her and drills several right hands into the skull of Mickie. Madison tries to ram Mickie into the cage, but Mickie reverses and sends Madison into the steel with an audible thwack, then does it again before hitting the spike DDT for the win.

Winner: Mickie James

Austin Aries is backstage saying that all he’s going to do is talk about what he’s going to talk about in the next segment, and people still can’t tear themselves away from the TV, and then says to imagine how amazed people will be when he actually goes out to the ring to say what he’s got to say. What a card that Austin Aries is!

We go backstage as Tara and Velvet Sky are all “OMG OMG OMG” as Mickie comes to the back after her match and tell her how hardcore she is. Mickie says she feels amazing, but there’s one more girl she wants to get her hands on and she’s coming for Gail Kim’s Knockouts Title. Madison screwed her over and over, but Gail was really quick to leave Madison hanging and then talks about a knee injury she suffered last time she faced Gail before the girls go to celebrate with some shots.

Jeff Hardy is backstage saying he’s been screwed twice now, and he’s in desperate need for a payoff, and that payoff’s going to be the World Title. It’s not fair, and it would be better to get Roode in a no DQ match, but right now he has to beat James Storm and earn another shot at the World Title.

We go to a video package as Austin Aries puts himself over as not just the best men, but the greatest man and nobody’s going to stop him. He walked in wearing a shiny, turquoise outfit and people don’t take him seriously, but he’s a tough MF and he uses that to throw people off their game. He’s had to be smart his whole life because he’s never been the biggest or strongest, but he may have been the toughest and smartest and he might just have to retire with the X Division Title.

Speaking of Aries, the X Division Champion makes his way out to the ring in a slick button down shirt and grabs a microphone out of So Cal Val’s hand to share his thoughts on SOPA and Rick Perry dropping out of the GOP nomination race. Oh yes, and he also says everyone’s going to need to excuse him for sounding like a broken record, but this is the time of month when he comes out after another successful title defense and says again that there’s nobody here in Impact Wrestling who’s in his league. He’s beaten every X Division wrestler put in front of him, and the fans can say he sucks all they want, but if he sucks so bad, how come he’s still holding the X Division Title? Crowd starts chanting for Aries, and he says that if they think he wants them chanting his name, they’re sadly mistaken because he doesn’t need a bunch of nobodies telling him that he’s the Greatest Man Who Ever Lived. There’s nobody in the back to take him on, so maybe it’s time to set sail and see if there’s real competition elsewhere because there’s obviously none in Impact Wrestling.

Suddenly, the Motor City Machine Guns music hits and Alex Shelley comes out to go face to face with a man he knows very well and has battled many times. Shelley thanks the fans for their cheers and tells them he missed them, and says that he separated his shoulder a year ago and four mounths later, he comes back and Chris Sabin tears his ACL and goes on the shelf as well. Shelley’s life has always revolved around wrestling, with some punk rock and video games thrown in. He was going to wait around and come back with Sabin because he knows the fans love the MCMGs, but he wishes TNA PPVs came with a noose because Aries’ matches are so painful to watch. I can think of other reasons I wish they came with a noose, but I’ll continue recapping as Aries says he wants men to challenge him, and Shelley tells him to shut up because last time he faced Aries, he had to low blow him to beat him. Aries says that’s all very sad and it’s too bad Sabin’s not here because he’s been latching onto his coattails for three years because before they teamed up, Shelley was nobody. Shelley says if he sucks so bad, then he should have no problem putting that title on the line against him. Aries says he needs to earn a title shot just like everyone else around him, so he suggests Shelley go to the back and find an X Division wrestler he’s beaten, which is all of them, and when he beats them, he’ll get a title shot. Shelley says he’ll let Aries pick his opponent, and then when Shelley beats him, he’ll be coming for the title at Against All Odds. Another great promo, really good stuff!

ODB is backstage getting liquored up, and the Mystery Cameraman asks what she wants EY to do to Angelina tonight. ODB says she wants her to go tear Angelina’s weave out and all kinds of stuff like that, but Winter runs in and attacks ODB from behind and they brawl until Winter cracks ODB in the ribs with a metal pipe, then takes her belt off and whips ODB with it, then chokes ODB with the belt and tells her that they’re going to take care of her little boyfriend.

Angelina Love vs Eric Young

Eric goes and ties up with the referee, and Angelina keeps telling him to fight her, but he keeps going back to tie up with the referee. The referee finally has enough and says he’s the official and he needs to wrestle Angelina, so Eric goes to the floor and ties up with a fan instead. He finally comes back into the ring and tries to shake her hand, but instead goes back after the referee and gets a go behind into a waistlock, then uses his body to bulldoze Angelina into the corner and counts at him for a break. Angelina finally has enough and kicks Eric in the cajones…

Winner: Eric Young by DQ

…and then she and Winter begin pummeling Eric and stomping the crap out of him. ODB runs in and goes after Winter, but Angelina blindsides her and the two of them put the boots to ODB. Winter gets her belt again, but EY grabs the belt out of her hand and dumps the both of them to the floor. Eric is still holding his nuts, but helps ODB back to her feet so she makes out with him. Angelina looks absolutely appalled from the rampway, and even ODB can’t help but smile at Eric before they walk out arm in arm. What a crew.

James Storm is backstage saying he’s all in for otnight because he helped build this company and he’s seen people come and go, but it’s his time to be World Champion and he’s not going to let Hardy stop him. The Mystery Cameraman asks if he’s been watching Hardy’s matches, and he says of course he has because he needs to do his homework when he wants to be the World Champion. The time for talking is done, and it’s time to go do it and prove that he can be the World Champion in this company.

It’s main event time!

James Storm vs Jeff Hardy

They tie up and Storm takes Hardy down with a side headlock, but Hardy escapes and gets a headlock takeover of his own. Storm pries Hardy off with a headscissors, then they trade armdrags with Hardy again coming out on top. Storm makes it to his feet and gets a headlock, Hardy fires Storm into the ropes and Storm takes Hardy down with a shoulderblock. Hardy comes back with a series of clotheslines, then a double leg takedown and the double legdrop to the nads. Storm dodges a charging forearm in the corner and both men go down as we head to commercial.

We’re back, and Storm gets backdropped to the apron on a charge into the corner and Hardy knocks him to the floor and comes over the top rope to wipe him out with a dive. Hardy slams Storm’s face into the ring apron and rolls him back into the ring to cover for 2. Storm starts a comeback and hits a slingshot suplex that was not quite Tully Blanchard quality, but still good enough for a two count, and then he goes to a rear chinlock. Hardy gets a Russian legsweep and the double leg cradle for 2, then comes off the top rope with the Whisper In The Wind for 2. Now Hardy goes to the chinlock, but Storm gets out and goes for the Eye Of The Storm, Hardy slips out, but Storm with a move that starts like an Air Raid Crash, but then spins Hardy around and plants him face first like the Wave of the Future. It looked cool, anyway. Storm sets for the Last Call, but Hardy blocks it and hits a Twist of Fate. Hardy tears off his shirt and goes up top for the Swanton, but Storm nails him to disrupt the move. Storm goes for a top rope superplex, but Hardy shoves him off into the ring and goes for the Swanton again, but Storm with a leaping enziguiri and goes back up for another shot at the superplex. He hits it this time and makes a cover, but Bully Ray casually slides into the ring and lays the referee out, then takes the chain out of his pocket and begins whipping both Storm and Hardy with it. He takes a sip of Storm’s beer and spits it in his face, then goes back to working them over with the chain. Okay, I think it’s fair to call it…

NO CONTEST

…at this point. Another referee comes out but Bubba lays him out too and goes back to enjoying himself with the chain until, finally, Sting comes out and goes after Bubba with the bat, laying in several nice shots and sending Bubba running to the back with Sting in pursuit. After all that, Bobby Roode now comes into the ring and lays the both of them out with the title belt, then takes a microphone and tells the fans that with the power vested in him as the most dominant World Champion in the history of Impact Wrestling, he declares this match a no contest. Hey, great minds think alike. He then declares himself still the World Heavyweight Champion and mugs for the camera as Storm and Hardy are both out cold. Storm finally starts to stir and stares out at Roode as his former partner makes his way back up the ramp with the belt held high.

Source: PWInsider.com

Spoilers: TNA Impact Wrestling Tapings – 1/26/2012

TNA Results
<guid
