Update on Kevin Thorn’s TNA iMPACT Tryout, Kip James’ New Gimmick in TNA

- As reported earlier, former WWE wrestler Kevin Thorn, under the name “Seven,” worked a dark match prior to an iMPACT taping last week. It would appear that employment is unlikely for the former ECW Superstar as the feeling is he had a good look, but wasn’t impressive in his tryout match.

- Kip James is now working as road agent for TNA. With that being said, his days as a television character are not quite over yet as the company has been using him much more frequently in recent weeks under a “handyman” gimmick.

Isn’t “Seven” the name Dustin Rhodes was going to use in WCW when he signed up while Russo was running things?
Wonder if Thorn picked that or if it was given to him.

Seven was also the gimmick that he used in OVW prior to his original WWE call up as Mordecai.

They should really bring back Dustin’s “Seven” character. “They’ve dressed me up like Uncle Fester, to play trick or treat all year long.” lol

Mordecai was an awesome character. They never should hve scratched it. He could have been popular like the Undertaker.

Sorry Botar, I’m with Leizar here. I think this Seven character had some potential. Couldn’t have been any worse than Black Rain or Golddust. Thanks for posting that vid. I don’t care what anybody says, that entrance was cool as hell.
If Kevin Fertig were to go back to WWE Would you rather see him play his “Kevin Thorn” character or “Mordeca”? I liked them both and was sad to see both of them go. I’d like to see Mordeca again. He’s kinda like the anti-undertaker.
