Sting Injured, TNA Announces One Match for Monday’s iMPACT

- TNA has announced Mr. Anderson and Desmond Wolfe vs. Kurt Angle and The Pope for Monday’s taped iMPACT. For some reason beyond comprehension, they have not advertised the main event of AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy.

- Sting was limited to what he could do in the ring at last Monday’s iMPACT due to a shoulder injury. Sources report that Sting underwent shoulder surgery recently so his in-ring work will continue to be limited until he is fully recovered.

I’m guessing it wasn’t advertised because they proabably announce it during the show and don’t want to spoil it

i think the Jeff hardy vs AJ styles match would be better to advertise.seeings some of the WWE fans may tune in to see hardy.

If TNA wants ratings they have to start advertising matches! Jeff Hardy vs AJ would be a match everyone would want to see. Ratings follow Jeff… simple as that. if you advertise Jeff your gonna get more viewers.

Yeah, tmiz, hopefully you’re just being sarcastic. The point of advertizing a match is to GET PEOPLE TO WATCH THE SHOW! If you’re just assuming people are going to watch, well, I guess that explains why they are getting a .9 rating. A year ago at this time, minus Hogan, Bischoff, RVD, Hardy, Flair, etc, they were getting 1.3 – 1.4 ratings. Kind of hard to figure. It’s truly amazing how so many talented people can be putting out such a mediocre product.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter whether they advertise that match or not. It’ll only be the die-hards watching Impact as the majority of casual fans will be tuning into Raw to see Austin. That match will likely be on at the same time as the Bret/Vince contract signing so it’s not looking good. I can see the ratings improving over time for the shows that are live, but the taped shows may not see the same results I’m afraid, unless they have something out of this world to offer.
