More on Ric Flair Debuting in TNA, Hogan Wrestling in TNA

- The analogy given by one source for Hulk Hogan as a wrestler in TNA is to be like the 1980′s version of Bill Watts, where maybe once a year he gets pushed too far and comes back for a big match.

- Word is that Ric Flair and TNA are close to agreeing on the money side of a contract. Sources say that Flair wants a guaranteed contract with Panda Energy instead of TNA, so he gets paid even if TNA goes under.

When the make a sequel to The Wrestler, they should just title it, “The Wrestler 2: The Ric Flair Story”. Hell, they could even get Flair to play himself (because you know he would!).

Its smart thinking though. TNA still aint out of the water and at any time they could have problems and fold. Any business can TNA is still a young promotion. Flair is just looking out for his future and making sure he aint gonna go down with the ship which is what any wrestler should do whos going into a new company thats still not established as well as thier competition.

Can somebody explain to me why there is all this hate for TNA? Every wrestling fan with half a brain should want them to succeed.

I think people do want them to succeed, at least the majority do, but they see them making very questionable decisions considering they aren’t that established yet, and don’t exactly make great profit now. They are so close to being the big two company, but are making deals with people who have questionable track records (Hogan) as well as sending out the attitude, whether this is how they really feel or not, that anyone who doesn’t like it can go. At this stage, they need to have everyone on the same page, and it doesn’t help when the guy you put all your hopes on (Hogan) is saying he’s willing to fire anyone who isn’t doing things the “right way.” WCW went down because of infighting, people being out only for themselves, ridiculous spending and poor ratings. TNA doesn’t have Turner money behind them, and when you rush to the big stage you’re just one big mistake from being done. I want them to succeed, because WWE will improve with competition and the business does better when there’s an option of who to watch. But they need to make the right decisions, and I hope they have here.

I so argee with Sean why does WWE or TNA have put the other out of business? Why curse TNA? If I remeber right wrestling was at its best when the Monday Night Wars where going on! And hell if it starts again the quality of both shows will surely go up!!! And I have DVR(TIVO) and plan of recording both TNA and WWE on Jan. 4th. And guess what I get to skip commercials and segments I just cant stand to watch just like I normaly do on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays!!!! Technology aint it great!!!!!

I’m a alright with the competition but i find myself rooting for WWE in this fight. WWE is a company that has money, publicity, brains, and influence behind them. And I’m not going to lie personaly i do beleive that WWE has the better wrestlers in the long run. WWE can get more creative they just need to freshen it up a little and perhaps get some new creative members that will bring new ideas. (That is if Vince agrees with them). Plus, I just don’t think TNA has good matches (they are mostly brawls and fights), and i just don’t like the 6 sided ring. When it comes to rings i just like the four sided ring

Really can’t stand that TNA are basically going to bury the younger talents for people like Hogan and Nash and Flair. I mean I know WWE do as well but at least WWE don’t use wrestlers who can hardly walk when they bury talent.

Very Smart Decision by Ric Flair, He is smart enough to know that with Hogan and Bischoff having behind the scenes power in TNA that they could easily go Bankrupt just like WCW did, as a matter of fact I predict that it will happen if Dixie Carter gives two EGO maniacs like Hogan and Bischoff too much power. Very Intelligent move Mr. Flair. Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!
