Jeff Hardy Facing Multiple Charges at Trial Tomorrow

Posted by Marc Middleton on Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

- Jeff Hardy’s trial on four cases will begin tomorrow, March 17th, in the Superior Court of Moore County, North Carolina.

Hardy was arrested on September 11, of last year when police searched his home and found 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Jeff was indicted on January 4th, 2010. Hardy is currently facing five felonies in total, a misdemeanor charge and a conspiracy charge. Below are the charges related to his arrest.

* Felony drug trafficking
* Two counts of felony possession of a schedule III controlled substance or drugs.
* Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
* Conspiracy to traffic opium for trafficking four or more grams but less than fourteen grams of opium/heroin.

The conspiracy to traffic opium charge is a new charge that has recently been brought forth.

A 12-person jury will be seated in the court room to overhear the case, and when the DA and defense rest their case, the jury will determine whether Hardy is guilty or not guilty on each of the charges. If the jury finds Hardy guilty of any charges, another court date will be set for sentencing.

    I’m not a Jeff Hardy hater because he does drugs, I’m a Jeff Hardy hater because he blows all the opportunities he gets in wrestling by doing drugs. He was given a second chance by the WWE and won the World Title, then he gets busted for drugs while being champion. You don’t get an opportunity like that and do something so stupid.

    Wow, Jeff is innocent until proven guilty, and yet you guys are making judgmental calls on him, also he has told people that he is innocent and that he received a package from an anonymous person who wanted to do some deals with him, which the DEA busted him right when he got the package.

    I’m not a Jeff Hardy hater because he does drugs, Thumper. I hate Jeff Hardy because he LIES. And no, it’s not just changing his mind, it’s full out lies that he tells in interviews and everything else that he does. One time he says he’s not going back to wrestling (the first time he quit the WWE) and then he shows up in TNA a few years later. Then he quits TNA to go back to the WWE. Does a few years there then decides he’s BURNT out again. Then in another interview, he says if he ever goes back to wrestling, it’d be with the WWE again. So lie after lie, he’s hard to like. I do not like liars and that is what Jeff Hardy is.

    And I believe he did have those drugs and probably used them. That’s probably why he’s with TNA because they don’t do drug testing or whatever. He probably couldn’t pass a drug test in the WWE anymore.

    I dislike him because he does drugs. There are many great people in the world (wrestlers and non-wrestlers) who have not succumbed to the weakness known as drugs. Say what you want, but this is NOT something that should be glorified and Jeff it NOT someone I’d want a child to “look up to”. What’s wrong with people today?

    So Dave you don’t smoke, drink coffee, never took pain killers ? as they are drugs, just not in the eyes of the tax man who makes a mint off them. 90% of all wrestlers have being on some drug at some stage right down to HBK I found god and now I this great person. Look at the end of the day its a person decision what he puts into his/her body and there is not a single person alive that can slate another off.

    God you guys crack me up. Go ahead and defend Jeff, that’s what your children (or future children) have to look up to. And then when they start doing drugs because their idol is doing them as well, you can’t punish them because you’re allowing them to idolize Jeff Hardy.
