Hulk Hogan Possibly Joining TNA?

- Representatives of Hulk Hogan have reached out to TNA about a possible deal to sign the WWE Hall of Famer. Hogan has shown interest in the past of signing with TNA and feels the company needs that one big name to compete with WWE. Hogan last teased a TNA appearance in 2003 when an angle was shot with Jeff Jarrett smashing a guitar over Hogan’s head during a press conference in Japan. A match was planned but Hogan cancelled due to knee problems.

It is believed that Hogan has no serious interest in signing with the company and is only using them to leverage a larger deal with WWE.

It’d probably never happen, don’t Russo and Hogan have problems stemming from WCW because of Hogan’s title-hogging, star-restraining politics?

Yeah, but now Hogan is old and hurting for money and no longer has a guaranteed contract from time warner to hide behind either.

Whatever Hogan does it won’t be wrestling a full time schedule…….it seems 50/50 whether he’ll even work anymore big matches. I do think somehow someway he’ll work a few more and I also agree no way he wants anything more from TNA then to use them as leverage for a WWE deal…….like he has before. TNA would want him to do tv and ppv’s and to be honest I’m not totally sure he can even manage that.

I’ve heard Russo may be on his way out, so that wouldn’t be a problem. I thought Hogan and Jarrett had issues, but, then again, rumors persist that he too may be on his way out. I doubt Hogan ever goes to TNA, though. As far as I’m concerned two things regarding this are quite obvious: 1. TNA would be stupid to waste a roster spot and TV time on Hogan and 2. NO ONE WOULD CARE! Sorry, Hogan was great in his time and always gets a good reaction when returnign to WWE. He’d certainly get a warm welcome from TNA fans, but I doubt anyone would switch the channel just to see him. Inflated egos are a bitch.

if TNA should pick up anyone it suould be as follows.

    1.RVD
    2.Kennedy
    3.Umaga
    4.Brett Hart
    5.Teddy Hart

hulk would slow the whole product down. the number one thing TNA needs to do is break up beer money and catapilt t hem both into the world title hunt. look at miz and morrison. good tag team ran its course and broke up and catapulted to the top. thats what tna needs to do

Nobody cares what the IWC think, the fact is signing Hulk Hogan to any wrestling brnad = ratings and cash. Think god the IWC does not run a wrestling promotion because it would go bye bye with in a year. All shows hogan appears on make huge numbers money and ratings wise so to not sign him because the iwc hates the guy would be more retarded then giving the wwe title to spike dudley.

I completley agree with TNA picking up Teddy Hart he is by far one of the most entertaing guys in the biz and the fact that hes not on a major promotion is a joke. As far as hogan if Sting is about to retire wouldn’t you think a man much older than him would know when to give it up. I respect Hogan for his past and what he did in the WWF but its time for him do find something else outside the ring I realize he probably needs money but there has to be another way to get it than to risk his hip again or anything else for that matter he is likely to be injured at his age and likely to heal at a %100 too

I really don’t know what all of you have against Hogan. NOBODY can deny his wrestling star power. I, for one, thing TNA would be that much more entertaining and exciting if Hogan were thrown into the mix … IN FACT, I think it could be a great angle to pit up against the MEM – Hogan, Foley, Jarrett, Lashley and … dare I say … SAVAGE !!!
