Eric Bischoff Comments On Monday’s “iMPACT!”, Reaction To Ex-WWE Star’s Tryout, Angelina Love

Posted by Daniel Pena on Friday, March 12th, 2010

– On his Facebook account, Eric Bischoff responded to a fan’s post regarding Monday’s iMPACT!. He wrote: “On the contrary, we are all convinced (as are most fans) that we proved definitively that we can produce a superior product. While it is going to take some time (and consistency) to gain the market share we hope to gain, we are thrilled with the product we presented, and are more than excited about the future.”

– Former WWE performer Ken Doane (a/k/a Kenny Dykstra), who worked a dark match with Homicide before Tuesday’s iMPACT! taping, received high marks for his tryout. No word yet on whether he’s been offered a contract. (source: PWInsider.com)

– Today is the last day to bid on a few ring worn items TNA Knockout Angelina Love has up for auction including platform boots worn on several episodes of iMPACT! and a beekeeper outfit. You can view the auctions at the following link.

No, Shawn, they can’t. We’ll probably be seeing Charlie Haas soon, though I wouldn’t even consider him a “midcarder”. Also, Helms is almost a lock (seeing as his buddies Hardy and Moore are there). I wouldn’t be surprised if they took a gamble on Burchill as well, though their roster is pretty packed at the moment.

TNA: PLEASE stop hiring people. You have an overstocked roster as it is!!!!!

Scooter if you remember correctly Christian main evented on Raw, facing John Cena for the WWE title. He lost yes but he still main evented. TNA can make stars off of former WWE stars simply because we have already heard of them. So they don’t have to do much to push them.

I have to disagree with you a bit scooter. I don’t think Ron Killings has been sh*t on. He has had a solid run. No, he has had no titles or anything lik that but he hasn’t been buried either. An Christian also hasn’t been sh*t on. He might not have been on one of the higher profile shows but not one time has he been burie. He was the ECW champion which may not mean anything but it’s not like he has been completely forgotten. An you also have to wait and see what he does on Raw. He is the only logical choice to win money in the bank so you shoud reserve th judgement a little while longer. A also to say TNA made Christian a star is quite a bit overstated. I would say the TLC matches he was involved in did more for him than his TNA run. That is just my opinion anyway.

christian became a star in wwe tna was just smart enough to capitalize on his house hold name and give him the chance to be a world champion

I think its funny that Scooter considers Killings and Christian to be TNA guys when they were both WWE guys long before they went back to the lower leagues.
Killings was never main event material, and WWE knew that. Killings had a main event run in TNA purely based on that fact that he was one of the biggest names on the roster at the time, being that he was ex-WWE.
Granted Christian is better than WWE thinks of him, but regardless of that, both he and Killings returned to WWE of their own volition, meaning they both knew they are better off there in the upper mid card than they were main eventing in TNA.

With all the talk about the TNA roster being overcrowded maybe they WILL make an unofficial WCW V2 or some would call it WCW V3 lol

fair enough, but your product can’t have RVD debuting every week and Jeff Hardy returning each week. In the end these “surprises” can’t happen every week and your have to find a new way of getting the viewers.

I think the roster can grow if they add a second weekly show one on monday and one on thursday!! (like thunder or smackdown)

in my eyes Christian became the true star in the ranks of TNA… that’s where he shined, he was a leader, a maineventer, a paperview draw and had great storylines where he successfully feuded with the likes of…

    Abyss
    Samoa Joe
    Jeff Jarrett
    Sting
    Kurt Angle

in the WWE Christian is always held back and until I see him feuding in a Wrestlemania with a Shawn Michaels, HHH or Undertaker… Christian will always be second fiddle in the ranks of WWE.
