Could The Ultimate Warrior & “Macho Man” Randy Savage Be Joining TNA Wrestling?

Posted by Daniel Pena on Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

During a recent interview with UGO.com, Hulk Hogan commented on the possibility of Ultimate Warrior and Randy “Macho Man” Savage joining TNA Wrestling.

“The Warrior is not “alive” anymore,” Hogan told UGO.com. “I did a deposition about six months ago where Vince McMahon put out a tape called The Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior. And I did a deposition. I sat in a room across from him. No other wrestler would testify. He thought I was actually going to help him, but when I told the truth…I seriously doubt he and I would ever work together again. I did tell the truth at the deposition. He’s the worst. He’s horrible. There’s nobody worse than him in the ring. So hopefully I’ll never have to see him again in the ring.”

As far as Savage is concerned, despite their past differences, Hogan would love to have him on board with TNA. He feels if Savage dyed his gray beard and got back into shape, he would be good enough to return to the ring.

“I’d LOVE to see the Macho Man,” Hogan exclaimed. “Dye that old gray Santa Claus beard he’s got. Get back in shape. And teach these young guys how to do it because I could sure use his help. He’s got a great mind for the business.”

Hogan also comments on the removal of the six-sided ring (calling it “a playpen”), when exactly he should have quit wrestling, back shaving tips, and more. You can read the interview in its entirety at the following link.

At least Hogan has the sense to realise that Warrior has NO PLACE in TNA.

Next opponent for Jay Lethal maybe? then they could have Savage turn on him, just like he always does.

Sounds to me like ur talking about yourself here granddad Hogan. As a losuy leg drop was the best you could come up with as a finisher. You killed WCW and now your on the way to killing TNA.As for ur stupid comment if macho dyed his beard what about Nash ?

I could not disagree with Hogan more. Hogan says that warrior the worst in the ring. C’mon nobody has ever mistaken the hulkster for a ring technician. Hogan has been carried in so many matches throughout his career.
Maybe Warrior has no business in the ring, but I think he would do a marvelous job as a color commentator like jesse ventura.

It looks like Terry(Hogan) is trying to make TNA into a retirement home for old wrestlers. It was bad enough when him and Eric B. showed up, if this keeps up I will quit watching TNA wrestling. If TNA wants to give WWE a run for their money then get rid of Hogan and Eric.

Hogan is absolutely correct. Warrior is a moron and a buffoon. Randy Savage would be the smartest addition TNA could make. Both for on air and for behind the scenes. Sure if he is in shape, they would only need him for a few matches, maybe a run against all the young guys like Daniels, Styles, Wolfe, Pope, definitely Lethal, but the character that he brings is second to maaaybe The Rock, possibly Austin, but no one else… His best role would be as a manager or Commissioner of sorts, but definitely helping in booking matches and working with the young wrestlers. I’m certain if any of the old stars have an eye for talent it would be The Macho Man Randy Savage. When people talk about that list of wrestlers, top 5…maaaaaaaaaaybe top 10, Randy Savage is definitely on it. Hands down. I think he was the REAL total package when he was in his prime. A great wrestler, athlete, and entertainer in all aspects. ooOOooOO yeeeeeAH! DIG IT!??!

HULK HOGAN is like VINCE MCMAHON A back stabber after THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR won the belt from HOGAN he was going to be at the top of the wwf and WARRIOR was going to rule the 90s at the top but VINCE took WARRIORS belt because VINCE wanted the rights to WARRIORS trade mark but WARRIOR would not stand for that he would not let VINCE walk all over him like HOGAN and the rest of the wreslers that sold out if THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR comes back he will be back at the top as the champion because he is the true champion and he will allways be the best
