Bischoff Gets Paid, TNA iMPACT Replay Rating, Hardy Update

Posted by Marc Middleton on Friday, March 19th, 2010

- This past Thursday night’s TNA iMPACT replay scored an 0.84 cable rating with 1,162,000 viewers. The replay this week did the same number that Monday’s show did.

- Dixie Carter noted on Twitter that Jeff Hardy will be working the TNA live events in Vicksburg, MS on April 30th and Greenwood, MS on May 1st.

- A fan on Eric Bischoff’s Facebook page pointed out that he was selling his WWE book, Controversy Creates Cash. Bischoff replied and said that he recently got a $50,000 royalty check from WWE for the book.

Of course WWE is still paying Bischoff for royalties from his book if it is still selling.

daggum, a 0.84 on monday then the same on a thursday, hmmm…as much as i like seeing impact on a monday night, maybe they should just keep impact on thursdays-they would have gotten close to a 1.7, and the have another wrestling show on a monday night-people are used to impact on thursdays.

Since I apparently no longer get to have a column on the site, I’ll go ahead and do my Destination X predictions right here. Welcome back to Thunder-Struck by the way, ladies and gentlemen. It’s been a long road and I’m finally finding myself with the time to write again. First off, Monday Night Wars part 2 isn’t looking so hot for TNA. That’s alright though, because TNA just needs some time to move up in the world, and I’m sure that will happen.

First up, we got Doug Williams defending the X division championship against the returning Shannon Moore. Anyone else think this will be an awesome match with Moore getting the title? I certainly hope so, as Shannon has been tossed around from company to company for far too long. Maybe an appearance from Jeff at some point during the match? If not, maybe Jeff will pop up in our main event.

Next we have the ladder match for the number one contender’s spot for the X division title. We got Kendrick, Daniels, Kazarian and Red. Out of the four, I’m gonna say this one goes to Kendrick. If not Kendrick, then they’ll probably put Daniels back in the running. But right now, TNA is in need of change, and that means pushing some of the newer people that have been brought in, not just sticking with the same old thing.

Magnus and Rob Terry for the Global Championship: I love this matchup. These are two excellent competitors both in top physical form, both young and ready for massive amounts of success in TNA and professional wrestling in general. Either man can walk away the winner in this one, but I’m gonna guess that this is a potential show stealer even without all the high flying action, and I’m thinking Terry walks away still champion.

Beer Money vs Hernandez and Morgan for the TNA tag titles. Your guess is as good as mine in this match, but I’m thinking it’s time for Beer Money to reclaim the gold, and it’s time for Morgan and Hernandez to have the one on one rivalry that we’ve all been waiting to see. My biggest dissapointment with this situation is that all four of these athletes are good enough to be World Heavyweight Champion, but there are so many talents in the locker room that they don’t have enough room to push them all to the top.

Daffney and Tara for the Knockout’s title. Tara retains, and I’ve already given my thoughts on the waste of time that Women’s wrestling is.

Hall and Waltman taking on Nash and Young. I would love to see Hall and Waltman get contracts because of Nash turning on Eric Young, but what could TNA possibly do with a storyline at this point in their careers by putting the band back together? It would be a waste of time and a waste of all the other talent on the TNA roster.

Anderson and Angle. Great rivalry, great athletes, great matches. But please, let this be over after tonight. Anderson should come away with the victory, but something tells me Angle comes out on top in this encounter.

Abyss will lose tonight in a close match with Styles. Something tell’s me he’ll get his rematch tomorrow night though on a live edition of Impact. Hogan is top dog, but soon enough he and Bischoff are going to have their problems. I would be very surprised if they took the belt off AJ at this point in time, and even with Abyss getting the push, he needs to chase the title until at least Lockdown before he becomes champion.

Well that’s all I have for now, I kept it short and sweet so that I didn’t take up too much space. I’ll be back next week with my ‘Mania predictions. Until then, you have been Thunder-Struck.
