Awesome Kong Leaving TNA?

- Word going around TNA is that one-half of the TNA Knockout Tag Team Champions Awesome Kong gave notice to the company on Tuesday night. Kong was involved in the reported altercation with Bubba the Love Sponge earlier this week.

It should be noted that talents give notice to TNA often and most of the time they’re talked into staying. No word yet on what the future will hold for Awesome Kong in TNA.

Wow, you guys really must think a lot of Vince to even entertain the idea that he’d hire Kong. He would never hire her! Look at how he lets Mickey James be treated. Kong would be brought in as some Chyna/Festus gimmick hybrid freak, not some who’s worth spending more than two minutes watching.

Honestly Awesome Kong, Kazarian, and Christopher Daniels are the 3 nicest wrestlers I ever met. Kong was really friendly and took time to talk to everyone and is very polite.

Bubba sounds like a dick and his show sucks. All he does is kiss Hulks ass! And Chris Harris and Jim Niedhart are assholes too!

    Let the Hogan/Bischoff era begin!

One minute I’m in full support of TNA, then I read these stories.

Oh well I will just keep watching SD, the show that has wrestling and some good entertainment here and there.

I guess Hogan likes people who treat others like crap, is that really the real American?

Politics gimme a hell yeah, brother!

She first made a name for herself in Japan and would probably go back there. It’s been said that other people may go back to Japan and not resign with TNA. TNA was supposed to get better, but things are getting a lot worse. I don’t know how much longer I can support a product like this. If you haven’t seen the reports of Hogan and Bubba talking about this on his show, wait until you hear what Hogan had to say about the fight backstage.

im telling u all now TNA is on its Death Bed for sure now…ever since Hogan & his stooges came in there has been more turmoil in that company then i have ever heard since its been around…so if i were certain talent including Ex WWE talent they better start mending fenses with WWE because this downfall is gonna happen soon..the writing is on the Wall..the reason why Hogan didnt go to WWE other then them not wanting him is because he wouldnt have be able to have any control over WWE & why he went to TNA instead is cuz he can get control & manipulate ppl end of story also the end of TNA!!!

I could completely see WWE signing Awesome Kong to stir things up in the Diva devision.

I can see Kong and the Glamazon Beth Phoenix teaming up and then feuding in the end or vice versa.

Kong doesn’t fit the “Diva” mold but Vince knows that Kong can work a match and that she can make almost anyone look decent in the ring. I would imagine that she would steamroll over most of the Divas but I can also see her making them look stronger and more credible during the match.

So yeah, I can completely see Vince signing Kong to a 6 month or 1 year contract.

I agree with Chip. Kong, while not exactly a “Diva”, per se (please, I mean no offense by that), is possibly exactly what the Diva division needs. She’s actually capable of wrestling and, hell, could most certainly take most of the guys in WWE as well. She could even be Mark Henry’s valet… can you imagine that? But I digress. My only issue is this, can’t you see, at some point, Vince and Co. having someone like Kelly Kelly defeat Kong cleanly? I know wrestling is fake (no really?), but at least make it somewhat believeable. I know their main audience is kiddies, but even the kids aren’t that naive. Sheesh!

i agree with Chip & Leizar. LOL and i love the idea of Kong being Mark Henry’s valet. haha, i think Kong could change the divas division in a great way, and with Gail Kim with WWE as well, if given the chance, they could put on a great match.

As much as a woman like Kong is needed in the WWE as she actually has ring talent I simply don’t see much competition for her. The only women currently in the WWE that seem to have any real ring talent are Mickie James, Beth Phoenix, Gail Kim, and maybe Natalya but as it stands she doesn’t get nearly enough in ring time. I’m also iffy about Melina but as she is injured at the moment it doesn’t really matter.

Three of those women are on Smackdown with Gail being the only one on the Raw roster. Putting her on Raw would be a large mistake as her only entertaining matches would be with Gail. Putting her on Smackdown would be reasonable.

The WWE should really consider uniting the women titles much like the tag teams are at the moment. They should make it one belt that is defended by the champ on both shows. Much like how the undisputed championship was. Because as it stands both shows are lacking in this area.

LOL at all you idiots. Awesome Kong leaving (which hasn’t happened yet), isn’t going to be the death of TNA. After every TNA story, there is about 20 comments about how their going to be out of business in the next couple of months. Rediculous!!
